  1. It's a shame really, I agree that the SNP are being treated with the same disdain as ever.  The English parties need to wake up and realise that the SNP will probably hold a fair amount of power in the next government.

WTF are you doing watching politics shows? Just you do what the BBC tell you  >:D

  2. Hartley is more worthy than Hughes imo.  I still think Neilson should get it, has strolled that league with a set of very good youth players and hasn't been a dick (not saying Hughes and Hartley have). Delia is a dick.

When you take into account how pish Hibs and Rangers have been this season though, I don't think Neilson deserves it. If they didn't finish top he would have been sacked no doubt.

Hughes has got his team to third, with no budget, after losing his best player, and is odds on to win the Scottish Cup too.

  3. So assuming we finish the season strong and end up <10 points behind Celtic and >20 ahead of 3rd place. Quite an impressive season i'd say. Has it been better than last season though?

For me, we have undoubtedly improved and now have a much better level of consistency to our performances compared to last season. To still be in with a chance of winning the league at this stage is a fantastic achievement.

However - no trophy. Does that make this season more disappointing than last? For me, yes.

  4. If this is the course of action that the SFA are now taking post match, then lets review every single game from now on. No, lets go one better than that, every game since the start of the season.

This game has set a precedent now, they cant ban Meekings and expect no repercussions when every other team asks them to review other situations. The SFA have opened themselves up for a shitstorm of backlashes now and i hope every team in Scotland will bombard them with similar decisions that go against them.

It is sickening how corrupt the SFA are, but its even worse how cowardly they are. Only Celtic could influence them in this way and get the outcome they hoped for. The vicTim fans will think justice has been done, but this opens up a whole new era in refereeing in this country. Yes the standard is poor, but if this is now the way we handle these situations then i look forward to benefiting from it in the future ( insert : aye fit iver smiley) . All of this because they didnt get their treble. It was a big game, it was a big decision, but f*ck me the season has been full of them, and we of all teams know that only too well.

Expect Celtic to get absolutely every decision between now and the end of the season. If they go down in the box, they will get a pen its that simple. The SFA dont have a backbone, therefore the ref's wont either. Its easier for them to give a decision for Celtic than against. This could be a huge milestone in the game and I hope to f*ck that ICT challenge this all the way and win.

Where was the compliance officer when the handball occurred against Dundee a few weeks back? We would be 3 points behind Celtic now, not 5 if that had gone our way (using Celtic fan mentality). Or what about Griffiths on Brown at Parkhead, or the foul Scott Brown committed in the middle of the park before Celtic went on to beat us at Pittodrie. Where is the line drawn? The SFA have opened up a can of worms here and i hope they suffer for it.

    Great post

I hope there is a similar decision that crops up this weekend and the relevant team affected takes the same course of action to see what happens.

  5. Would be fantastic if we went into the game against them only 5 points behind. A win would be mammoth and bring it down to 2 with a couple of games to go. Anything could happen.

  6. Anybody else excited about it?

Who are you tipping to win the thing? I usually win a lot of money from Edinburghdon with golf betting but he’s fucked off on a boat so I need another way to make some profit from it.

I can’t see Tiger doing much despite him being 3rd/4th favourite.

  7. Make him a Dandy  ;D

I was in a pretty similar situation. Grew up in Dunfermline but my dad brought me up an Aberdeen fan.

I still have a soft spot for the Pars, and went to quite a lot of their games when I was younger and lived there, but it was always Aberdeen I supported. I loved supporting a minority team growing up. I think I was one of 2 Dons fans in school which gave me a great siege mentality

I reckon the wee man will grow to like Raith regardless if its Aberdeen you ‘make’ him support. A win win for everyone.

  8. I'd imagine each place earns an extra few quid, plus you'd have less qualifying games in Europe?

I'd say it's debatable whether having less European qualifiers is a bad thing. Surely the more games played in Europe the better?

Do we know what the difference is in prize money between 2nd and 3rd? I'd imagine having a full house at Pittodrie for an extra Euro qualifier would bring in a fair bit of money which may offset any prize money losses.
