  1. Home Match Tickets 2 x £21 - Hearts and ICT to get Munich home ticket (I work at Pittodrie at all the home games so I am there)

UEFA Tickets - Dnipro, Moscow, Copenhagen and Munich £91

Stuff - Black and Gold Top £40

    Cup Games  - Falkirk £11, Semi £11.

So all in £195, I make that.

I do plan a trip to the club shop in the near future to purchase some golf gear though.

  2. There are several quotes in this thread that just make me think that folk are far too nostalgie about the Ebbe era for their own good as it just makes them talk rubbish.

"2-2 draw with Huns biggest bounce in half a decade"

I refer you to beating Celtic 3-2 at Todders in one of Alex Miller's first games (Perry, Blinker og and Hignett)

budget comparisons with Ebbe and Calderwood.

Deary me, Calderwood has had buttons compared to Ebbe.

Under Ebbe we were a joke, for quite some time. I never went to Glasgow thinking we would get anything under him, there was never any sign of consistency and top half finishes year after year.

I liked the guy at the time and certain things about his character I look back on fondly but ultimately his time in charge of Aberdeen was probably one of our worst spells ever.

  3. i went for Mackie, think he's got some pretty crucial goals this season and has bounced back well from almost being sold in the summer. Remember it was going to be get rid of him to get Miller in and now he's keeping Miller out of the team. Same again next season please Darren.

  4. ach well. Good luck to him in the future, always think that he tried his best for Aberdeen, just appears his best was not quite good enough.

Give the guy credit though, he signed on as an amatuer when he first came to the club and as I've said, never gave less than his all, which is more than can be said for some.

  5. Thats just the Weegie media for you though. I'd be happy if our players came out and said this all the time, get it right up the Huns. It's better than sucking up to them saying that "we need them to have an off day" "Ibrox is a really difficult place to go"

I dont believe for a minute that there is anyone within AFC at any level that goes to Ibrox confident of a result and that needs to change, fuck the Huns, lets just go there with bugger all respect for them and get torn in.

  6. I like to be optimisitc but whoever said that we should be trading punches with the old firm is a bit carried away, i prefer to be realistic and for the next two or three seasons if we finish 3rd consistently and qualify for Europe that will be further progress to me, only then should we start thinking about challenging the OF. Look at the way Hearts were, even before Romanov came in, they finished 3rd most seasons, were never out of the TOP 6 and then last season could have challenged for the title, ok it's all gone tits up now but the foundations were in place before Vlad came and ruined them.

We need to have that sort of consistency to continue finishing in a European spot and then, only then, can we start thinking about moving on to challenge the OF, we can do this by finishing in a Euro slot and maybe making some progress on that front and having more income from cup runs etc. NO point in us trying to run before we can walk.

  7. aye lets just calm down guys, over-reaction is not the way forward. As much as it pains me to say this Give the Huns credit, they've been on a bloody good run recently and went to the tattiebowl and won last week. If this was the result in the Ibrox game under Le Guen earlier in the season then some of the over-reaction could be understood but recently they've steadied the ship and got going, we got beaten, probably by a better team (I wasn't there but I'll make assumptions), maybe we didnt turn up and make a contest of it but at the end of the day we're pushing on for 3rd now, we've got 2 weeks off to regroup and then hopefully finish off the Jambos ASAP.

  8. i'm fairly certain that wasn't the case in these Markets when i was working for Ladbrokes, it was just take out Celtic but your results against them would still count, same with betting without the big 4 in England, your games against them still counted but it was basically betting to finish 5th.

  9. Just had a quick look at Betfair and Aberdeen are 9/1 to finish 2nd, might be worth a little interest. Rangers are 1/25.

Also about 1/3 for 3rd, Hearts just under 3/1, Hibs 10/1.

There is a bit of discrepency in the market though as it has Rangers at 1.01 for a top 2 finish but 1.04 to win without Celtic (the same thing)

And Aberdeen at 9 (8/1) for a top 2 finish but 10 (9/1) without Celtic.

I know that there is still a tiny chance of both Rangers and ourselves winning the league but even then, Celtic still wouldn't count, just seems a bit weird to me.

Also noticed that we are a best priced 11/2 for Saturday (generally 5/1) I can never really remember us being that short a price, Huns best price 4/7. Anyone for a bit of 40/1 Foster for first or last goal ?

  10. aye its a pretty good defensive record that we have got on the road. You can't really blame the players for sitting in a bit deeper in the last half hour or so of games with a record that good at the back, although I think most people will be mainly bricking it if it's 0-0 or (here's hoping) 1-0 us with half an hour to go on Saturday and we don't get out of our own half.

  11. just been checking out that site as well and i see that Dunfermline have still not scored the first goal in any game this season, no wonder they are going down, it does mean that they come from behind to win 3 times, only Celtic and Killie have done it more.

  12. I'm 10menwent2mow and I can often be seen at games with the good old BYRRRRNE 17 top on.

Currently travelling the world having spent 4 years at Uni in Glasgow and then about 8 months back in Aberdeen after Uni. Hoping to end up back in Glasgow when I return from travelling.

Can't exactly remember what my first game was although the first one I remember anything about was losing 1-0 to Motherwell at Pittodrie when Steve Kirk scored the winner in the Cup.

Best Dons Memory - The 95 League Cup final or John Stewart's winner at Parkhead.

  13. I'll take a 0-0 draw to be honest, was discussing it with my Hun mate and he seems to think that a lot will depend on what happens to them in their European tie. If they win, then they will have their heads up, if they lose the heads will be down and we might have more of a chance. If they go to pens and get knocked out then the players will be knackered as well and we'll have had that extra day to recover.

Either way, if we turn up and play well we'd have to hope that it doesnt matter what they do. As long as we keep the race for 2nd interesting and take it right to the wire I'll be happy, lets just make sure we get some sort of European football though.
