  1. After doing a decent job on the day, bt sport's highlights package was fucking atrocious!

Didn't show either dons strike off the bar but showed all celtic's sclaffed shots off target. Then not a single mention of aberdeen afterwards, just straight back to talking about celtic and more of the champs league pish they started off the show talking about.  :hammer:

And they show the hun goals too.

    Pricks.

  2. This non-story aside I was pretty impressed with the loon on Saturday. He was clearly looking to make Samaras aware from early on that he wasn't going to get time on the ball. Shaughnessy was hard but fair in the tackles and Samaras look terrified. Had Shaughnessy been at centre back for the goal things might have been different. A player that I really rate. I wish we had a left back of the same mould.

Fully agree. Good that he's had experience at full back, but we can't piss about with our most talented young players by playing them out of position.

  3. Agreed, Barry nich was a hero. Hope he does well there, but obviously not against us.

What's all this chat about Monaco potentially having to sell Falcao?!?! I dont get it?

Could be the financial fair play stuff. kind of makes sense actually - sign one of the best strikers in the world to encourage other people to join the club, then sell him on to balance the books.

  4. Former Aberdeen FC goalkeeper Jason Brown banned from driving again

A former Aberdeen FC goalkeeper has been banned from driving for the third time in less than a year.

Jason Brown, 31, admitted driving while disqualified in Aberdeenshire.

The offence was detected in July, Aberdeen Sheriff Court heard, after police received a tip-off.

The Welsh international, who left Pittodrie last year, was disqualified for a year and fined £730. The court was told he was now living off his savings.

He also admitted driving without insurance.

Defence agent Peter Shepherd said: "He apologises for his carelessness and ignoring a court order."

Sheriff Kenneth Watt said it was "more than" just ignoring a court order when looking at Brown's previous convictions for driving offences.

  5. Actually quite impressed with bt today. They've focussed on aberdeen as much as celtic which isn't something I've seen in over a decade of anybody else's coverage. Thought McAlister was also fair unlike a couple of you. Said after half an hour we were the team that looked most likely, which isn't a thought that'd even cross the minds of certain other co-comms...Craig fucking Burley anyone?

  6. McGinn's been unusually shit too. Some poor decisions and a sitter missed.

So frustrating that Celtic clearly aren't that bothered about this result. But we didn't get the goal early and then a cunty rule ended the game as a contest.

Just like this fixture last season, enthusiasm rushes back and the crowd turn up, then we fuck it up. Hopefully the difference is we didn't fuck it up through lack of ambition this time. Mainly just unlucky. There's something about this team so if fans stick by them I do think we can achieve good things this season.

  7. Raging I didn't get to see more than the last 15 mins.

Glad at least there was skme credibility in the result, but over all I can't help thinking the u-21 result is much more significant considering England were jammy as fuck and didn't play a full strength team (alledgedly).

Given how bad England's u-21s are, are our next crop of internationalists really so bad that they can get done 6 by them?? Hopefully just a total freak result, but given we have K Miller et al in the senior squad, I'd be hoping some u-21s are ready to step up.

  8. It looks like Jim Furyk (bottle merchant) is wearing a pair of Adidas Samba today. Perhaps a nod to the old school soccer casual movement or he's playing 5s later on tonight...

He ran with the West Ham Hooligans in the 1980s I believe. Had to leave the country after getting into a bit of bother (bottler in more ways than one apparetly) and took up golf. Really was the making of him, but he never forgets his roots in the casuals.

  9. I'm quietly confident Zola and Veron will both do well this year with robson and hayes creating a lot of goals for them. Or creating a lot of opportunities for them to cause havoc and open up space for mcginn.

The only worry is lack of defence and protecting mids. But Flood is such an energiser bunny i wouldn't be surprised if it makes teams a bit cautious in midfield in case they lose the ball and end up being bummed on the counter attack.

Think we have a great blend this year of positivity tempered with the knowledge we've been underachieving consistently in years we should've done well, so aren't getting our hopes up!

  10. My Dilemma is being caught between paying for Setanta Sports and never getting another game to watch. Or an expensive evening out in Perth!!! :-\

After what setanta did to us??

Get tae Perth, watch some fitba, down a few dirty beers, get kicked out of a titty bar and go walkabout. Safe option.
