  1. Aye the 11pm deadline was a joke. Utter nonsense.

I don't buy into it being unfair only on Baghdatis though. Both players were under unfair pressure.

I wonder why Baghdatis doesn't play that well more often. He'd be much higher ranked if he did.

Cillic next for Murray. Then the winner of Ferrer v Del Potro in the 1/4. Then possibly Tsonga in the semis. All matches that I'd expect him to win on grass.

  2. That's correct.

However for the sake of Andy's chances this year I urge you not to fucking watch it. I believe it was your fault he was knocked out last year because you decided to watch it!

  3. :o indeed!

I only caught the last half of the 5th set but Nadal had no presence at all. His fitness has looked suspect for the last year or so, so maybe he can't do the Garros/Wimbledon quick turnaround any more like he could previously. And if it comes down to picking one, he's always going to choose Garros to spunk his beans.

Ramps up the pressure on Murray now without question!

Indeed. This is his golden chance to reach the final. And then hope that Djokovic pulls a hammy.

  4. I know they're "catholic" but they certainly have the mentality of huns.. they can't fathom why people don't like them. They go round the Altens industrial estate nicking the gas canisters out of the vans and leave fucking mountains of rubbish wherever they reside. They still strut about with the "haters gonna hate" attitude.

  5. Nope. If Murray was that good I presume he hammered him fair and square. No idea where the whoosh comes from.

You're right. Murray did hammer him fair and square. I was poking fun at Davydenko's previous for match fixing. Wasn't seriously suggesting it for a second though.

  6. Pumped Davydenko 6-1 6-1 6-4 in round 1 at Wimbledon. He played some of the best tennis I've ever seen him play.

Although it's unclear at this stage if Davydenko threw the match or not.

  7. 2 of my favourite tackles assaults have come from players who are known for being fucking poofs. Ricky Foster and Chris Clark. Dandy_Don and I fondly remember the night at Pittodrie that Foster ran the width of the pitch and put Thomas Buffel up in the air. We celebrated like it was a goal.

The other one was Chris Clark in showing backbone shocker. Having just been binned by that horrible cunt Alan Hutton moments earlier Clark took retribution by smashing him right infront of the Hun support.

I won't go into details about my most favouritest of all tackles.  It was  anice one though.

As for results.. the top one for me has to be my first trip to Ibrox in the early 90s. Although we only got a draw when Paul Kane scored I experienced my first proper bounce.  A very close second is the win we got at Hampden in the 1995 League Cup semi where Billy Dodds scored a double. I think the first time I saw Aberdeen beat Rangers was at Pittodrie in a 2-0 win where I think Pressley scored an OG from an Eoin Jess cross and Duncan Shearer scored the other. I remember being really excited about that game and it didn't disappoint.

    EDIT:

  8. It's all very well supporting the club after they made a pleasing decision but this has a long way to run and there are still too many question marks over the fundamental morals of the league and the governing bodies for me to whip out my wallet just yet. The way I see it we're still pouring our money into an organisation that seems intent on appeasing Rangers. (We should never have needed a vote in the first place.)

I have to keep reminding myself that even before all this ever started I was planning not to renew because the "football" that I was watching made me want to kill myself. Although I do concede that the signing of Hayes is a promising one and further good signings coupled with an appropriate punishment for Hun newco could still tempt me back.

Certainly not running down to the ticket office with £300 yet anyway.
