Tragically Hip @ the ACC in February

In/oot: Oot
Prematch: Ma Kip
Match: My Laptop
Postmatch: The Queen Vic
prediction: 2-1 win
-
Key positions needing addressed are still Rb and GK imo.
You thinking as a back up for Langfield? In watching him this year (albeit sparingly as I am on the wrong side of the atlantic) he seems to be doing well in goals.
RB ... well you can never have too much defending.
Still think more fire power up front is the need. Derosario from DC United would be my target.

Starting Formation: 4-3-3
1. Jamie Langfield
16. Isaac Osbourne
4. Russell Anderson
22. Mark Reynolds
3. Clark Robertson
18. Stephen Hughes
5. Gavin Rae
7. Chris Clark
20. Ryan Fraser
9. Scott Vernon
10. Niall McGinn
Still looks like a strong side for Aberdeen

we are a joke of a club
Nope that title belongs to Toronto FC! Shite in the league. Win the Canadian Championship (Voyageurs Cup) and decent in a crappy Concacaf Champions League

Current Set Up Works... Why mess with it?
-
So Are we celebrating or Kakaing our pants for the next round? Didn't look like the Dons played overly well but a win is a win...
-
34 but then Brewster was 40...
He is proven enough though.
-
ok I am back lol
-
Attn MR BROWN!
Now that you have let Mike Paton go you have room for a proven striker.
I give you the name of a seasoned veteran with consecutive seasons of league scoring title hunt. International Player. Has trained with Celtic.
The name: DWAYNE DE ROSARIO

Part of the problem, though, if I'm believing what I hear, is that a lot of the frontage of Pittodrie (main and Merkland) is "listed"?
By "listed" I take you mean Historical Monument or something? You can reference Toronto's Air Canada Centre (built to include the Historical #1Post Office building.

You guys are being too quick to press the panic button.
While I agree 4 games without a goal is a bit of a dry spell but how many have we conceded in the same spell?
Good chances are coming our way and when the strikers hit their form lookout!
another 2 or 3 games before I get to the rubbish point.
-
That's what I am saying, Re-Do Pittodrie. No asset lost. By breaking the project down into chunks the club can run things over as many phases as it likes. In looking at a few stadia one could easily find ways to put in restaurants and or pubs that could be open to the public year round and help pay back the cost of construction. No easy feat that's true but give it a whirl.
I actually saw on Football Factories where 1 club in Austria(I think?) has leased out a pub to its biggest supporters' club and the place is always busy...
Like I said, come up with a way to make it work!
My Highschool Economics class came up with a way to save our local drive in theatre (and it worked). Surely the Dons Supporters can come up with a way to capitalize and construct the new Pittodrie.

In/Out: Out - Wrong side of the Atlantic - But will be in the DT Live Chat whilst golfing wi ma Father
Pre-matcher: Voddy & OJ before we tee off
Match: On the golf course
Post-matcher: 19th hole
Prediction: 2-1 the Dons - LSC punch Drunk from Liverpool
-
Just my 2 pence worth.
Aberdeen & Toronto both play in similar size stadia. Toronto re-did the north end this past off season and it was ready for the start of the season. My thought is could Pittodrie be redone in a similar way; one stand at a time over 4-6 years?
OK you Aberdeen Uni Engineering students, you now have your homework for the entire semester. Come up with a way to make it work!
-
2-1 the Dons today!
-
Suggestion for Clangers replacement. Swiss international Stefan Frei. Glut of keepers in Toronto at the moment.
-
Aye aye Reekie min! Tough one to swallow today.
-
No
Not interested in a team that means nowt to me.
Gonna watch the wimmins football just in case there's any shaggable bints to fantasise about
So the Canadians put GB out today... See anything you liked?
-
In/Oot: Oot (well unless I can get to the Celtic Club in Scarborough then in sort of)
Prematcher: Breakfast (part of the $20 I pay to watch the game @ the Celtic Club).
Match: Giant Screen TV
Postmatcher: Pint at My local
Prediction: 2-1 Us.

As an aside, anyone know where Dazzler has gone since his contract ended? Did I miss his signing for someone else? Hell if O'Dea can get an MLS gig surely Mackie could?
Not so Fast! O'Dea has come to Toronto FC... The team that occupies the MLS Basement!
-
I automatically panicked there when I saw Clangers was no. 1. I assume Broon will still be our no. 1 choice?
Clangers was the man when we beat Copenhagen... Hold the panic button for now!
-
FFS Willie get a grip min
Small steps are all that can be expected.
Finishing fourth or fifth would be progress.
Reckon Howkers, Arabs, St Johnstone and one of either Murderwell or Farts will finish ahead of us.
That's the thing about being on the eve of the 1st game of the season. All the "glass half fullers" are singing loudly about the great battle that is to come. The "glass half empty" crowd are drinking in the corners.
As for me, I am on the optimistic side and agree that players should be able to go to Celtic Park thinking "We CAN Win Here"!
Hearts V Aberdeen 8/12/12

That's Bold min! Admittedly I have a serious dislike for the Jambotarts/Lithuanian State Circus but 5? Who's gonna score them all?
