  1. I remember that one. Most of my mates at the time were Pars fans so was good to GIRFU them after that!

Same here, most of my mates at school and my family are pars fans so it was pretty sweet :D

  2. First game I wanted to go to was the playoff 2nd leg at east end park in 1995. Great scenes at the end of that game. Only bad thing was I couldnt celebrate too much as i was in the wrong (dunfermline) end.

My dad tells me he took me to an aberdeen game at east end park when i was pretty young but i cant remember it.

  3. Just talking about the 17 year stat. Its a pretty shocking stat for us, and it definately doesnt tell the whole story. We always bottle it at Ibrox, the amount of times ive seen us play rangers off the park there and not finish them off is shocking. Its got to end soon jimmy!

  4. Ok, but why bring up the shitty ex-manager shit?

Because thats all I know in my time supporting Aberdeen. I dont remember Ferguson, or the 1990 cup double, or even almost winning the title in 91. The majority of the time we have been managed by a succession of idiots who could barely keep us in the league. So Im not complaining too much about being 5th in the league because the past few years have been the best ive ever had it as a dons fan and we are moving up the league rapidly!!!

  5. We are only 4th as we have played an extra game, we seemed to be 7th before last night.

ok, if we use the results at the moment then we would be 5th. At least we are going in the right direction at the very least. We are moving up the table steadily, and we are in a decent position to challenge for 3rd.

  6. I think this just shows how far we have come under JC. We may not be the most attractive team to watch, but under previous managers if we had been in this position we would not have been complaining.

However, the frustrating thing is I feel we have had a shit start to the season and yet we are 4th. The frustrating thing is our defence never seems settled, and we always make stupid errors there. And I wish we used Lee Miller better, if he had decent service he would be on at least 6 goals so far this season. However, as long as we are in a position to challenge strongly for 3rd place im not going to complain too loudly.

  7. again i thought the defensive back 5 looked solid defensively, even foster.  got to include kerr in that back 5.  we didn't seem like conceding until we went gung-ho towards the end.

I didnt think we were that strong definsively, granted they only scored from the penalty, but they could have scored more. There was 1 chance in particular were there was 1 utd striker in the box and 2 defenders, and both defenders ran towards the ball and left the utd guy alone in the box, and he should have scored.

In general i thought aberdeen looked very sluggish and things need to improve quickly!

  8. 1.At Pittodrie, Seve goal against the huns,

2.Away from home, Jess at Ibrox, 95

3.In the Premier League, Jess again

4.In the Scottish Cup,  Gotta be Andy Dow for myself against Hibs

5.In the League Cup, Shearer in the final against Dundee in 95, just cause its the only trophy ive seen us win.

6.In Europe,  id go for simmy in the semi against waterschei. Mcliesh's or hewitt against bayern/madrid for importance though.

7.At Hampden, Gotta be Dow again for me, that goal has to be the best team goal ive ever seen us score.

8.Individually and or collectively, Team goal, Dow against Hibs. Individual, Simmy against Waterschei

9.A Dons player representing Scotland, Never seen McKimmies goal, only 2 ive seen are Jess against Czech Republic and Booth against Russia, and im gonna go for Booth.

  9. Im not that happy about all these loan signing we seem to be getting nowadays. I dont mind one occasionally, but it seems to be getting quite regular these days. Our player turnover is quite high, without adding temporary players. I would rather we got a bit more consistency with our squad. Aberdeen are a big team, we shouldnt have to rely on loan signings.

However, I hope the boy does well for us.

  10. 5% of £21 is 1.05, so we are paying them 5p per ticket, which is £300 for 6000 fans.  However, unless the OF do something similar back to us, aberdeen will be getting over £1000 for us at Ibrox, so AFC will actually gain money.

Fantastic how aberdeen have put the cost of this onto the rangers fans themselves.

    Well done AFC.

  11. I agree with funster, especially on the fact that Walker shouldnt have played. He may be a good player, but he has been here 2 seconds and to throw him in at the deep end like that was harsh.

I put down for the end of the season, because the team is stale and cannot go on the way it is, but im prepared to give jimmy a bit of time to put things right.
