Apologies for the hijack, Ally S, but I think you have missed the point. It is PRECISELY BECAUSE there have been "very good team performances over the past month or so" that this had to be written. Did you notice anything about those performances? There were four players in the defence, and four in midfield, and the vast majority of those involved were playing in their natural positions. Since Gary McDonald went on against Motherwell and scored with his first touch, Aberdeen won 7 and drew 1 of 9 matches playing 4-4-2. Mr Calderwood elected to change to 3-5-2 to counteract the second-bottom team in the league who had not beaten Aberdeen in 13 attempts since their last promotion, and lost. Personally I don't think expressing frustration at that peculiar and unnecessary decision counts as "bullshit". Hey-ho.
