I think we all know Aberdeen are going to finish third and have our guaranteed group stage place taken away by Inverness or Falkirk winning the cup.

That would put the seal on season 22-23.

I don't think Aberdeen could really begrudge Falkirk taking their place.

Regarding him being Cormack’s mate. Cormack could have gone out and got another manager, a so called bigger name and he no doubt has the money to do that.  However, he hasn’t got where he is in the world today, as a successful businessman, without being smart, shrewd and having the ability to see a project through. Cormack must see something in Glass, something which made him avoid the easy option, which was to appoint a ‘safer’ bigger named manager, and appoint Glass. He wouldn’t have got where he is today by appointing him just because he was his mate. I have mates that are great mates to me but I wouldn’t want to be working with them or have them running my business. There’s a huge difference.

You don't think nepotism exists in business at all levels?

What is entertaining is if the result are accurate, so far Salmond's lot have not recieved a single vote (25 of 129 called)

Are they contesting any constituency seats? I thought they were only on the list?

  4. We're in 4th place. A few good results we'll be back up into third. We should never have sacked McInnes. Fans expectations are far too high. We should be happy with what you've got. Today is a perfect example. Sacking the manager hasn't helped anything.

Just read Hendry lost his Mum to meningitis aged twelve after a cosmetic surgery procedure went wrong.  Hope this horrible tragedy in early life means he has a bit of spirit and passion about him.

What an odd statement. I don't think losing a parent at a young age equates to having extra spirit/passion.

  6. Andrew, you made it out there yet?

I was up there in January as I spent a weekend in Ohakune where my friend was woofing but have never skied there. Ohakune is a nice town. A lot of places were closed for the summer but went to a good burger place in the town called the Blind Flinch.

I'm unfortunately no longer a resident of New Zealand as my visa ran out. En route to whistler via Nepal. Spent a month trekking to everest base camp and annapurna base camp. Been brilliant - especially when you head off of the main trails and it gets a lot quieter.

  7. Whilst we'll be fitter, so will Burnley and i'd imagine they'll have a few more players back in contention.  Thursday was a missed opportunity, despite still being a great game and result.  Can't see us winning this one, but I do think we will score.  Hope those that have managed to get tickets have a great time, hopefully they give us a good Lancastrian welcome!

    In / out: out

    Pre-match: Bed

Match: Bed, hopefully watching the game

Post-match: snow boarding  *weather permitting

    Prediction: 3-1 Burnley, Shinnie

Whereabouts are you snowboarding? If you're going to Coronet look out for 'Andrew' on the lifts.

  8. It appears that it's not just tabloid-reading Brits who actually believe the lies and propaganda spewing from May, Johnson and the complicit presstitute media that Putin was responsible for what happened to the Skripals. The expulsion of Russian diplomats from so many countries suggests that others around the world believe it too. Or do they?

This is politics and human nature at its ugliest. No sane person of average critical thinking capability can believe the British state on this. It's being in with the in crowd and an absence of courage that has resulted in these mass expulsions. In due course, the truth will out. This will prove to be the greatest mistake ever made by the British Westminster government, fuelled by the same hate, greed and suspicion that their masters have indoctrinated them with.

I don't understand how it could be anyone but Putin? If Putin wanted them dead there is a lot more discreet ways to kill people than nerve agent that is made in Russia. The reason it was carried out in the way it was(just like the plutonium in the tea to kill Litvinenko) is to create as much international disarray and chaos as possible. It's the same in Ukraine. Putin doesn't want the pro Russian rebels to win he'd rather Ukraine is kept in a perpetual state of war. He longs for the anarchic days after the fall of the Soviet Union when Russia was a mob state.

Russia is a kleptocratic state where the few get rich. This is a country with huge amount of natural resources that should be one of the richest countries in the world if it wasn't for successive failures in government.

  9. The English are absolutely obsessed with putting down Scottish football. They often seemed to be offended when I mention that I've no interest in the English game and only follow scottish football. It's this same arrogance that has taken us out of the EU.

  10. I'm certain Jack could have got a salary like that elsewhere, either overseas or south of the border. Signing for those cunts was the easy option for both player and agent - very lazy, unambitious, and short sighted.

The guy's going to think he's Billy big balls now, and it'll be interesting to see how he copes with it all. Personally I think we'll see him warming their bench every week like so many other good young players who get tempted to the old firm.

Whatever happens, he can fuck off. No excuse for going there.

Surley at 25 you're no longer considered young! Been posting on here for almost ten years now.

  11. We are good enough to win the league. Aberdeen's budget is high enough and with a perfect storm of Hearts being financially crippled and hibs and rangers being out of the top league this was our chance. I don't particularly understand how one can support Aberdeen and not think the same. Are people happy to be with the St mirrens, Killie's, Ross county's etc. and win the league cup every twenty years.

Just look at the sides in the league. If we beat Celtic three times this season and still lose the league I think questions have to be asked somewhere.

I can understand the love of Mcinnes after years of a chain smoking Dane, a drunk, etc. being in charge but I think as fans we should be more pragmatic. If we had someone like Griffiths up front or Gordon in goal would we be top of the league now? And whose fault is this? Past failures shouldn't lead to an acceptance of mediocrity. I'll admit my knowledge of what is going on tactically during games is piss poor but when you look at Aberdeen's budget compared to our competitors it's clear we have been at best performing below par with Mcinnes. A good media presence may be papering over the cracks of a poor managerial record.

  12. What exactly is that based on?

What a club's potential position could be in the best and worst case scenario in regards to there and other club's results. So Aberdeen are going to be in 1st or 2nd no matter what the results are this weekend.
