In my AFC-world, we'd only bring in players who were better than we already had. If they're not good enough then they don't come in. I'd prefer playing a 16 year old for a few weeks until we could bring in shite-for-cover if need be.
I'd bet that ye were all excited with the squad we had at the start o the season though? It's just nae worked oot for a variety o reasons. The big problem for me has been the out-o-contract players. Someone's gotta be held accountable for that. It's obviously unsettled the squad.

George Burley's Ipswich team

Didn't we have an "8 players out" headline about a year and a half ago?
Personally I'd welcome 10 out but only if he stops taking players in who won't see the light of day.
Deek Yung's done well for us

Gettin' rid o' Darren Fuckin' Mackie
I swear if ye were tae take a neutral tae Pittodrie they'd think that wiz his full name.

I was always very wary of him ever since I read that his new contract basically has a clause in it removing all blame from him and his management team, should this season go pear-shaped! Who the fuck agreed to write that in his contract????? Effectively, he could actually not turn up to work for the remainder of the season, we could lose every single match. We could play Langfield and Soutar upfront and have Aluko serving pies from the pie-stand. But Calderwood's contract basically removes all blame from him!!! Utter shambles.
Where'd this come fae?

Look at it this way Al.... we've easily got 10 players at the club who'll never see the light of day and 10 more who should never get a game anyway.
Deek Yung's never seen the light of day.

LOL Ok, Has he not already gone?
Nae idea. I thought we still had him, fingers crossed he's gone already though

was it a gamble? At the time we were told that Jeff was a tricky winger, that he'd get us up off our seats in excitement. He's not that type of player. Unless JDV had been feasting in McDonalds every day since we signed him, it certainly looks as though JC had never seen the guy play to know what type of player he was.
He's technically a good footballer if a little slow, however, I also think he's another who has never been given a long enough run in the side to allow him to settle in and perform to his best.
I was meaning gamble in the sense that there was a risk he widnae work oot as he was taking a step up a level from his previous club. Agree wi the rest o' yer post though.

Jamie is one of our best players and a player we are really missing at the moment.
Sorry ma man, I meant Jonathan Smith, nae Jamie

Only 10?
I'm nae surprised that Lovell and Touzani are mentioned here, although I'd have liked to have seen both o' them given a longer run in the team, (Lovell with the same strike partner for a number of weeks and Touzani as a holding midfielder)
Soutar, Should never have been signed in the first place
McNamara, Just hasn't worked
Mackie, The fact he only scored his 50th Aberdeen goal in the Dnipro game says it all
Byrne, Played brilliantly against Copenhagen but isnae good enough
Young, He's nae going to take us forward is he? Surprised abody but he's nae good enough
Duff, See Soutar
Foster, Sh*te
D. Smith, Who?
Mair, See Soutar/Duff
De Visscher, Gamble that disnae look like working
Bus, See De Visscher
Nicholson, If he wanted to be at this club, he'd have signed already. Don't wanna lose him
(EDIT) Jonathan Smith (nae Jamie ), See D. Smith
Add Lovell and Touzani tae that and that's 15 players that could/should go.

Calderwood poll - what now?

Calderwood must be the maist infuriating manager around. I'd love to ken fit goes on in his heed at times. Nae replacing Anderson has been the biggest mistake at the club this season, swiftly followed by our lack of signing players to longer contracts before January.
