  1. I can't see Touzani playing in midfield tbh, we've signed McDonald and also have Severin (captain) for that position.

I'd like to see JC go for 3-4-3 next season with a back three of Touzani, Diamond, and ?

His lack of pace would be exposed a lot more if played in midfield.

    We're struggling to get a 4-4-2, let alone a 3-4-3 !!!

  2. Still think he is to slow for Scottish game. Looked good in games where he has been up against slow players (DeVries and Sno) and in Europe against and Athletico side who were playing at half pace. Whenever he has come up against anyone with a bit of pace he has struggled. Might do ok as a holding midfielder as long as he has someone to do all the leg work for him.

We just need a balanced midfield. Touzani isn't ever going to be a midfield general for us, but if he can read the game well and spray decisive passes around then he could work in a central role, depending on who's doing the crunching around him.

  3. Just to sum up this Hun love-in:

    Fuck the Huns.

    :haterangers:

No way on this Earth would I want Rangers winning that cup. Don't care if they get the treble domestically, but UEFA, no fucking way.

Maybe our European winning escapades in the 80's are just lost on the younger generation, and they don't realise how much being the last Scottish side to win in Europe means to some people. Rangers win this Cup and we'll never ever hear the end of it.

  4. I can't offer my support directly as I never knew the respective men, but popular opinion would seem to suggest that you're both correct.

Interesting that you both acknowledge that AFC plc is in decline, something I've been thinking myself. Will you acknowledge that the reason we're in decline is not exclusively the fact that the business of football has changed dramatically in the last 30 years? The opinion that I offered, that many vehemently argued against, was that our chairman isn't the most ambitious for the football club, and may have a different set of priorities from the fans.

The decline has been, coincidentally, ever since Milne got on board. Ian Wood, who does not have aspirations to AFC plc, philanthropically gave £50m away last year. Milne is not like this, by all acounts. He is more of the "grasping" businessman mould.

So if it's not the chairman's fault, and you say that AFC plc is in decline, why are we in decline?

Might be worth starting a new topic with that question, as its deviating slighty from the Gothenburg Greats.......

  5. First two are fine and dandy

Nae really decided on the third one though :-\

I like the third one also, although do something about the green. AFC do not do green. Period.

Far better than the present yellow striped monstrosity

  6.

These fuckers win trophies every year. Who gives a shit what they win. Its just noise.

I want European nights and I want lots of them  8)

Fair enough the treble, but I just couldn't handle them winning a European trophy. No fucking way.  :hammer:

  7.

So, would ye be happy tae see them win the quadruple so we can get in Europe, or wid ye rather they won fuck all else, and we didnae mak it into the UEFA next year?

I'd take the sacrifice. We don't make Europe for one season....so what? Rangers win the quad......thats forever. Life would be unbearable.
