  1. There aren't many people I'd consider keeping at Pittodrie right now. That goes from playing staff, ground staff, 'physios', marketing and security through to management and the directors of the club.

They've been treating us with utter contempt for years now, and we just accept it.

    Fuck off.

I get what you're saying, but that's a reactionary comment too far i think.

I know of a few people at Pittodrie who work exceptionally hard day in and day out and are proud to be a part of the team.

It's just a shame the players and management don't seem to follow suit.

  2. Holy fuck, that was devastating. The prospect of no Europe next season is so hard to take right now.

I just can't see how Jimmy can stay in the job he's in right now. This isn't a 'JIMMY GTF!!!' post, but if we can't see off a 1st division side, infront of 14,000 of our own fans, with possible silverware and pretty much guaranteed European football next season, then he doesn't deserve to have the job.

He'd be gone tomorrow if our board weren't didn't so blindly offer him a 3 1/2 year extension on his contract.

Fucking hell, what a mess we're currently in :(

  3. Absolutely gutted. More so than any result in years. Would have rather got pumped than endure that.

Where did the extra six or seven minutes come from at the end? What was the free kick for? And what fucking else is new when you're playing Celtic?

    The 2nd half started late

  4. Thought this 'ban' was over after one game?

To be honest, it seems the players just couldn't give a fuck about the EE.

It's just the way the EE are playing this which is so bad. "We'd love to report on the upcoming match, but the players aren't speaking to us".... So why don't they do what they normally do and make up their stories and use no quotes?

It's all getting so silly, too. I don't care if i can't read a story on Mackie and his new winning streak.

It was all getting a bit "Wrestlemania" anyway, with the Evening Express providing the podium in which the players used to voice their fighting talk.

Wish the players would just tell the EE to fuck off, with the backing of the club also.

  5. More importantly, who can we e-mail at the club to voice our support of this "ban"?

Infact, that's another thing that fucks me off about this... It's not a ban at all. They players just don't want to speak to one person. He isn't "banned" from attending press conferences or asking anything. The players aren't in the huff; they're happily talking to other papers.

For the EE to use the term "banned", it makes the players seem like utter dickheads... But it's the complete opposite.

Like i say, no-one is banning him from doing anything. It's up to the players whether they want to respond.

And for fuck sake, the boys at the top of the club need to support the players in this.

Absolute shambles to have the management talking and not supporting the players. Makes you wonder...

I guess it comes down to the fact that if certain 'journalists' from our club don't voice concern about the "ban", then they won't get their wee pay packet from the EE at the end of the month.

    Shite.... Just shite

  6. I'm in the position that I don't have access to the EE but I do catch the odd headline or click on a link from time to time.  But off the top of my head I can recall storys like "shop the flare thrower", "disgrace fans" and other such sensational bollocks that does more harm than good.

I won't forgive Charlie Allan for that shite. I mean it.

He tried to make whoever was responsible a hate figure. I'm just so glad fans saw through the shite, and it was funny one minute seeing the paper plastering their pages with condemnation, and the next day not mentioning a thing about it because of the backlash.

    EE get to fuck

  7. More community type work.  Falkirk are a prime example.  They always have workshops going on, and also visit local schools on a regular basis.

As far as I'm aware this doesn't really happen at AFC.

Also how about building decent training facilities?  The facilities we currently have are diabolical.

Aberdeen have their own 'Dons in the Community' scheme which addresses this.

Although i do believe it'd be good to be able to offer a class or school free tickets or reduced prices for certain games.

  8. Fact remains, whichever media group we get gracing Pittodrie, they make it sound like a home game for the o.f. Better sound mix then?

Nah, they're just the louder bunch for the most part

Just want to add that i'm not even fishing here. For the most part, the OF fans really are the loudest. That goes for this entire season, possibly longer.
