  1. It really is a sad day for The A-League when the Melbourne Victory can allow a c*nt like Kevin Muscat to become caretaker manager of their club (even if it is only for one match).  It was bad enough that they made this creep their captain and now that he is finally unable to 'assault' any more players, instead of showing him the door and at least having some dignity, they have the further disgraced themselves as a football club.  Shame on you Melbourne Victory and I hope the Mighty Newcastle Jets get it right up you tonight.

Hopefully the new manager will get rid of the creep that is Muscat.  It is shameful that his career continues to go on when he has either ended the career or tried to end the careers of others in the past.  Do football a favour Muscat and just f*ck off!!

  2. I still find it incredible that the dons fans will give someone like Mackie a hard time.  I'll never understand to this day why he gets a hard time when he gives 100% and is proud to wear the shirt, while other such as Hignett, Belabed and Zerouali received cult status even though they did not care about wearing the shirt and only turned up to play when they felt like it!

I'd far rather have a team of people who try and give their all every game (without being world beaters), than have a team of prima-donna's that flatter to deceive.

Enjoy the night Darren - You deserve a bumper crowd and a night to remember

  3. A real shame that so called fans would give Ricky Foster a hard time.  So, he played for Rangers (due to McGhee being an idiot) not through any personal request for a move.  Even if he had played for Rangers because he wanted to - get over it!  Barry Nic did a great job for us and it could be argued that Jim Bett and Eoin Jess (both ex Rangers) played their best football for Aberdeen when they played against Rangers.  Alex McLeish, an AFC legend, is a Rangers supporter.  So what?  What matters is what a players does on the park.  FFS guys, give Foster a chance as Captain.  The last thing he needs is the fans on his back, trying to turn him into a jittery bag of nerves before a ball is kicked in anger or hoping that he fails in his role.

If you're not going to get behind him and the team then do us all a favour and Fuck off and stay at home on a Saturday.

  4. He's like Chris Maguire.......a little ned......although he does have more skill than Maguire and think he's probably got a better collection of shell suits so lets sign him up so he can fill the void in Soul Bar!

  5. Crikey.  What a jammy bastard.

That is unbelievably polite.  Michael Owen is a C*nt of a man.  He once said that he didn't see himself as injury prone and he couldn't understand why the Newcastle fans referred to him as injury prone.  Well Michael it might be because you only played in about 25% of possible games during your 4 years on tyneside because you were always injured, and took home 90K a week for sitting on your arse or playing golf.  You then thought it would be nice to F off as soon as possible rather than sign on for one more season and bang in a few goals to repay to cash that the club in vested in you!

One can only assume that he must be doing a good job mucking out Fergie's race horses to be offered a new contract.  Sad.

  6. Certainly sounds like he's played plenty of games down there. And league 1, I'd hope we could compete with in terms of wages (although see Grant Basey). Where did Swindon finish, wonder why he's leaving?

Edit: just looked and they got relegated, so I imagine they're probably getting him off their wage list.

Because he has Paulo the Fascist as a manager now!

  7. Hopefully the new stadium will be good and some decent facilities and will help bring kids back to the 'family sections'.  I'd also like to think that AFC will have the sense to announce a section dedicated for the singers so that people can select on there season tickets where they want to sit so that the singers are not scattered around the ground for the first season, similar to what happened with Arsenal at the Emirates (not quite the same scale mind!)

Unfortunately what I can see happening is that AFC will sell out to the old Firm and allocate them a huge away section so that the noise from them far outweigh's our noise and that the OF have the upper hand before the game even starts. Boo!

  8. Why is it a player who for years was arguably one of our worst players and very inconsistent suddenly become a world beater because he has played for the huns.

We used to argue about players suddenly getting picked for Scotland just because they signed for the huns.

    Aint this just the same.

He has had some bad seasons but In fairness, in the seasons that he played well, he was arguably one of our best players.  He clearly has the ability, perhaps he needs a coach or manager of a certain type to help his consistency or maybe playing in the champions league will have boosted his confidence and will make him a better player for us.

  9. My thoughts exactly. Had it been Archie Knox squaring up to Lennon or McCoist we'd not be saying all this. They are rivals, whatever underpins that isn't the point. They had a go at each on the pitch, it was exactly the way Aberdeen-Rangers games were years ago before the game was sanitised beyond all recognition and to be honest I wish those games would go back to that.  Who knows, we might actually get back to having some semblance of an atmosphere at matches as well.

That's bollocks - I'd be ashamed to see Archie Knox carrying on the way Lennon did and I wouldn't want the Aberdeen Management behaving like a bunch of neds on TV.  Although I am sure McCoist said some stuff to Lennon to wind him up, McCoist actually doesn't do too much else wrong.  Lennon is the one constantly in other managers and ref's faces with his aggressive body language, aggressive facial expressions, and finger wagging in their faces.

When was that ever seen at Aberdeen-Rangers games?  Why would you want to see something like that?  Sad.

  10. Neil Lennon is a creep and it is disgraceful that Celtic FC allow him to be the carry on the way he does.  Celtic should be ashamed to have a manager that behaves like that.  The police should be able to do something too.  The wee shite stirs things up all the time and everyone is sick of him.

Between Scott Brown and Lennon, I'm actually at the point where I dislike Celtic more than Rangers.

  11. Not sure what's harder to believe - Darren Bent for 18-24mill or Gareth Barry to Inter.  Another one on the cards - Thierry Henry to Leicester!!

Based on this, Newcastle should hold out for 25mill for Andy Carroll.

  12. Shouldn't matter if your 16 or 116 - manners costs nothing.  Football's a cruel game and these 'stars in their eyes' are only a bad tackle or a shit season away from the dole queue, where a wee shite like Maguire might be working for someone who he couldn't be bothered to be polite too.  Like I said on a previous thread, he's a little ned and we're better off shot of him.  He's an ok player but he thinks he's the mutts nutts - and he's not.

  13. Paton certainly has an attitude - After we got pumped 3-1  by the Broch pre-season I know for a fact that he did not even have the sense to keep his mouth shut and tried taking the piss out of the Broch players for having to go 'back to work' the following day.

With a couple of minutes to go, he said to one of the players 'aye mate. back to work tomorrow then eh?'.  The idiot got the response 'Aye, I'll be in and I'll be reading the sports headlines in my break.  You see, this is not my job.  I'm actually good at my job but clearly you are shite at yours'.
