  1. SFA chiefs set to boycott Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne’s Scottish Football Hall of Fame dinner.

    https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/3332402/paul-gascoigne-rangers-hall-of-fame-sfa/

Nominations are made by fans before a committee decides who to admit. The SFA has no influence.

So basically clubs with the most fans in Scotland can choose who will be nominated in Scottish Hall of Fame. What a complete farce.

  2. The SFA/SPFL eating out of their hands now UEFA have joined the bandwagon.

UEFA have revealed they have given Rangers special permission not to give visiting teams their full allocation of tickets in the Europa League due to safety concerns expressed by the police.

Rules do not seem to mean nothing to these minks.

  3. Following a further planning meeting with the SPFL and all relevant parties at Hampden yesterday afternoon, the club can now confirm full ticketing information ahead of the Betfred League Cup Semi Final match against Rangers on Sunday 28th October, KO 4.30pm.

Aberdeen FC were initially allocated 16,800 tickets however, as a result of intensive negotiations we have now successfully secured a guaranteed allocation of 20,300 tickets for our supporters.

This will result in an increased number of premium tickets in the South Stand being available, alongside further tickets in the East Stand.

Well done...Hope we get them all sold

  4. Saturday 20th October

    15.00

    Hearts V Aberdeen

    :ultras:

If we have any ambitions this season we must get a result against them. We have the players to compete against any club in the Scottish Premiership. Our injury problems should be eased but McKenna still suspended. Do we play the team we played against St Mirren or will D.M.go with Wilson and McGinn from the start.

    Hearts 1 Aberdeen2

Ps..... Game is live on RED TV International

  5. Kilmarnock striker Kris Boyd tells BBC Scotland's Tom English about his eight dogs but can he remember all their names

Liked this answer from someone on Twitter

Can Kris Boyd remember how much Tax he owes the British State when Hector comes knocking at the door???

    What's the tax on £215,000???

  6. DONS CHAIRMAN CALLS FOR SUMMIT

Aberdeen Chairman Stewart Milne has urged SPFL Chief Executive Neil Doncaster to seek a summit with the SFA in order to establish a greater understanding for all the game’s stakeholders, including clubs, players, authorities and supporters, as to the process and decision-making procedures employed by the governing body, in the wake of several controversial decisions this season.

About time but will anything happen ?

  7. Game Day

    :ultras:

No result other than a win today will suffice. St Mirren will be up for this today after the whipping they received last time out at Pittodrie.

Hopefully Wilson shows his stuff and May is benched. Attack attack attack.

Aberdeen 3 St Mirren 0 (as previously stated.)

  8. Being realistic I know the fans will do nothing at all regarding the mess that the SFA/SPFL have made of Scottish football. Sad state of affairs that two clubs can run our game with the help of the Scottish media backed up with the people in charge of our game. Every fan must take the action that suits him or her. 'Mighty oaks from little acorns grow'.

  9. The time probably has come for boycotts. Whether fans of other teams would get on board with us is the question. but there is no doubt even if we were alone in taking action we could seriously impact on other clubs' finances. Weekend games we generally take between 1500-2000 fans to most of the grounds. Even midweek we usually take 1000+. For clubs who generally only get gates of between 3k and 5k (eg St Johnstone or Hamilton) this is a huge boost to their finances and one which they absolutely rely on. Removing this cash would have their boards almost immediately telling the SPFL/SFA to get their shit in order as nothing concentrates their minds more than the bottom line on their balance sheets.

Hearts are the obvious ones who we should be trying to get on board with us and ideally Hibs also as they both carry decent away supports too.

Our ultimate aim has to be to get both bodies to start acting in the interests of all clubs instead of the 2 arse cheeks and also to get that fud Dungcaster out asap. A decent start would be to get them to scrap this ridiculous Compliance Officer position, which in doing so would save on a hefty wage. Let referees referee. If they fuck up too regularly then there are ways which can get them "demoted" to lower league games for a while (which impacts on the match fee they receive so it is in their own interests not to fuck up).

Agree with all that post. The first step on the long road back to equality is for our supporters to stop going to the away games. Although the Scottish media will not say much about this, it may stir our club and the other teams to think again about the fans views on this situation.

  10. The SFA/SPFL and the club owners believe that fans will never desert their teams no matter how many times they fuck them over. Maybe it is time to put that to the test. It was done before regarding Rangers although the SPFL still managed to break the rules and agree to keep them in the 3rd Division but the threat of a mass boycott of fans stopped the huns starting again in the Championship.

Scottish football is run for the benefit of two clubs, always has been and always will be. Are you ready to stop this crazy situation if it means your team suffering a financial hit to achieve the goal of having a level playing field in Scottish football for every club.

As far as the Scotland National team I will never pay to watch them again. Not bothered if they win or lose anymore.

  11. At the present time these organisations are ruining the Scottish game. They are turning the lifeblood of our game, the fans away from Scottish football. Many fans have had enough of the laughable way they are treating the teams and fans in the SPFL (apart from the Glasgow Two). Now they have decided to punish clubs when fans of certain clubs complain about an incident occurring that is not even punished by the referee.

The game here is over and I for one am seriously considering a complete boycott of Aberdeen matches until they and the other clubs grow a pair and do something about this mess.

Ps What on earth are the SFA thinking about regarding this rubbish.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45752296

  12. If McKenna get's 2 game ban which I expect he will, referees in this country must give their opinions on what is going on in the Scottish game. If the way to go now is to look back on video at all games played and decide if a ref is right or wrong then why bother with referees at all. Celtic fans were screaming on social media for action to be taken for this challenge which resulted on this matter being brought up in the first place. If somebody studied how many of these calls involved the Glasgow Two I am sure it would be the majority of them.

  13. Steven Gerrard warned his Rangers stars to shake hands with rivals after games — win, lose or draw.

“Should my players? Yes, because we are Rangers and we are playing for an historic club that shows class.

    “That’s who we are representing.

Class and Sevco in the same sentence

  14. Hearts' Scottish League Cup semi-final against Celtic has been moved to Murrayfield and will kick-off at 13:30 GMT on 28 October and Aberdeen v The Rangers will take place on the same day at Hampden at 16:30.

Or will Celtic put a stop to this new venue before it happens.

  15. McKenna has been offered a two match ban. Scottish football is a total joke. If the appeal from Aberdeen fails there must be a way to go further with this. In all the years I have watched Scottish football this has to be up there as the most scandalous decision I have seen. If the challenge had not been on a Celtic player it would never have arisen.

  16. I am probably in the minority here, but I like Cosgrove. For his size he is actually pretty quick, his hold up play is pretty good too, he just lacks a cutting edge, I think he has potential for sure, and I would play him ahead of May every day of the week.

Agree with you on the May quote. When oh when will D.M realise like everyone else that May has no place in our first team. Get him out on loan to another club and see how he get's on or bench him till further notice. I also  agree that Cosgrove holds up play well he just needs to score a few goals.
