If you know Skelp give him a shout. Lives down that way now and might be up for it.

Our club has came on leaps and bounds the last 5 years.
From the millions of debt and the crackpot that was JC to the complete failure of McGhee to this just 5 years later.
We now have a club that people want to be part of more than they want paid a million a season. We have people at the helm advising Milne and backing their advice with cold hard (by the looks of it)
All headed by a manager that deserves the type of backing it looks like he's away to get.
-
Sevco offered £300k then upped to £400k for Walker. He has a year left on his contract so doubt they'll get a million for him. As I said yesterday I'd try £600k going to a max of £800k to get him in. After 18 months I reckon we would double our money.
And if Lindsay is going for £350k then we definitely should be offering £400k. Would be a fantastic replacement for Taylor.
As has been said though, theres no one steering the ship right now. We will miss out on possible targets if Wiggy doesnt get his finger out and tell McInnes to either fuck off to Sunderland by tomorrow or get his arse back in gear and get managing...
If they've given permission to Oxford to speak to him for £350K why would we offer £400K? That wouldnt cancel out their offer, just means we'd be paying £50K more than we should be.
McInnes was still putting lists together and looking at players while on holiday. The reason we arent now moving for people is because the board want to make sure they have a budget for a new boss. If McInnes knocks them back we'll be right in for the players earmarked. If McInnes had earmarked Lindsay you can guarantee his agent knows and will be waiting until McInnes is sorted out before allowing his client to sign for anyone unless they can pay a whack more that us.

A few folk saying he's turned them down. Here's hoping!
A rumour started by someone on the wind up on the sunderland message board.

Porterfield?
Wee bit late to be taking him out of the box.
Not much left of anything, I doubt his managerial ability has diminished that much between then and now.
-
If Deek is on much more than £300k at AFC I'd be surprised.
Think thats the combined package of him and Doc.
Seem to remember that being our management team budget £250K when tango and mcghoo were in charge. Might be wrong...

Our new director reminded everyone this morning that it doesnt work that way.
Comp agreed first, then they can talk.

One month away from Europa League match and less than a week before training regime starts and the club:
Do not know who the manager will be
Lost key player - McGinn
Losing another key player soon - Hayes
This isn't good. It's quite frankly a mess with no outcomes. What players must be thinking I do not know.
A week until the players come back, £1.2m in the bank from the manager another £1.2m coming from selling Hayes. A multi-million £££ investment from a new director...
New boss already lined up if old one is pinched, will probably be in place when the players come back from hollybobs.
3 weeks of training to get into the new managers way of playing and a few competitive games in Europe to get right into it before the league kicks off.
Just a guess but I'd think Derek Adams has already been sounded out. Plays in a similar way, will have been scouting players that are at the right level for us to look at and has made no qualms about his want to come back to Scotland to manage if its the right job. Aberdeen are debt free, have a good budget and will have money in the bank to attract the players needed. Only issue is getting 5 or 6 new first team players to actually be able to play together quickly, a couple of easier European ties will help with that.
Its not an ideal situation but its not the shitstorm some are making it out to be.

comp agreed according to one of the BBC journos on twatter

Cormack telling Sunderland to pay up of fuck off.
Like the cut of his jib.
-
Jack Ross could be worth a shout.
You are joking, right?
-
I'd rather not tarnish yet another Gothenburg great by giving them the managers job and then hounding them out the door.
Need someone in the same vein as McInnes. Hungry for success, good with all the sports sciency stuff and happy to father the child of the best looking wag from the first team pulls.
With all that in mind I vote for Ryan Giggs as manager and John Terry as Assistant/player
-
Whoever it is better get the money from Hayes and the money from McInnes to invest in the team.
-
Back to odds on again with the bookies, Kevin Phillips drifted a bit
Thats how Short is getting the money together for promotion.
He's releasing wee nuggets to the media to increase the odds on McInnes so he can stick the season ticket money on it.
Well, he is being advised by huns these days...

The overall result has been a mixture of good and bad shocks.
Labour winning as many seats as it did and coming so close to being able to form a government was a good shock. Hopefully they can vote down the government at every opportunity and with that force a no confidence vote and another election, one they could win next time round.
The SNP’s capitulation in the NE and borders to the Conservatives is a bad shock. I’m disgusted that the people in Murray turned over one of the parliaments best performers and MP’s for promises on fishing that cant be kept and as a protest on a referendum that was probably never going to be held. Gordon going Tory instead of going back to the Lib Dems just shows how easily bought the white settlers are.
The SNP failed to galvanise their support. There’s probably a few reasons for that, perceived poor Holyrood performance, indiref2, delay in their manifesto coming out due to the terrorist attacks and their lack of direction for Europe, well, the lack of putting out a solid message about their stance on Brexit/Europe. I don’t think this is the start of a major decline in the SNP but they will have to work a lot harder in the next 2 elections to hold their current position and to try to retake some of what they lost.
The DUP… I know they are Tory rags and right wing press but the blatant hypocrisy on display from the media is almost astounding, the same press that were hounding Corbyn for days and weeks before the election for his ‘links’ to the IRA and more so Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness are now turning a blind eye to May cosying up to a party founded by the Ulster Revolutionary’s, a party that still have known terrorists as chief advisors and pulling the strings. A party that wants to teach creationism in schools and over 40% of their MP’s think the planet is between 400 and 10000 years old and that’s just for starters.
The shitstorm May has created is unsustainable, thank fuck. I just hope Labour can take advantage of it down south and the SNP can get their shit together up here.

I'd tap that in front of the wife if I got the chance.
No idea why but for me she's one of those weird crushes you get from time to time.

Hayes rested or injured ?
Hayes injured.
We'll miss his directness in a game like this. His running can really push teams that just want to sit in.
-
Its been in the pipeline for a while.
Its not like Motherwell just realised he's a bad manager overnight.

Tin hat on.
Sadiq khan has probably infuriated a few of you but what he says is actually correct. Ignoring the remarks about nationalists and racism in Scotland (although you could argue some towards the English) he's right. Nationalism more often than not is racist and you'd be a fool to think otherwise so I'd presume that's what he's drawing experience from. London and Scotland share a lot in common.
Yes there is pride and snobbery in London but you can get that in Glasgow and Edinburgh or any other big city for that matter. Most of them would be ignorant about whatever happens within their own country. Don't think he should have got involved but I can see he's probably towing the party line. I like Khan, compared to that bumbling buffoon of an arsehole, he's ace. Seems to be a shining light in what is probably a sinking ship of labour. He's brought good things to London and noises up trump, a good man in my books for that alone.
He wasnt speaking about more often than not, he was specifically speaking about the SNP and the Scottish independence movement. There were and still are plenty of idiots that champion the independence side, many using warped stats and figures along with stupid arguments about BBC weather maps to try and show how bad a deal Scotland gets from being part of the UK however I could count on one hand the amount of times I saw or heard any racist ramblings through the independence debate and referendum. There was no Scotland First, immigrants out, Scotland for Scottish people... Only a campaign to govern a country from within that country.
To call the Scottish independence movement racist is not only extremely ignorant but a massive insult to 99% of those that believe in Scottish independence.
He isnt right, far from it.

was there not talk about hampden not being the national venue for scotland? as the increases of the rent are crippling the SPDLSDSA ??
It was the increased Business Rates which have now been fixed, I think.
