Came across this wee clip of festive fixtures from 1950 which caught the eye.Note the size of the crowds,and Hibs v Hearts > Celtic v Rangers,ie 65'000 v 60'000.

Would guess some of those junior cup ties will have had some decent sized crowds as well. TIme before mass car ownership meant folk went to local games or so Big Al tells me.
