Commonwealth Games

Always enjoyed these championships since watching Lachie Stewart hanging onto the coattails of Ron Clarke (holder of multiple world records but never won a major championship gold) and some English runner running side-by-side as he followed in their slipstream, in 1970 and as they came to the last 200m glanced towards Clarke as if to say "Sorry, mate, but this is mine" Lachie Stewart - Commonwealth Games 10,000m Gold, Edinburgh 1970 - YouTube

Reason for posting this was that I was on the BBC site and there was a link to an "amazing 10 goal thriller" in the hockey between Scotland and NZ.  I've no idea of who would be the underdogs in this game but we were up 4-0 and 5-1 and drew 5-5...Alan Rough was in goal for us!

Been good from what I’ve seen so far. Kiwis have been very happy as they’ve been doing pretty well. watched some of the cycling and swimming this morning.

Just brilliant from Eilish McColgan. Just like her mum, and great to see Liz there.

Tremendous stuff.

I was there last night at the athletics to see Laura Muir win 1500m gold, it was tremendous, had an absolute ball in Birmingham and saw a silver medal in the Rhythmic Gymnastics 😊

Rhythmic Gymnastics

sounds like a euphemism rather than a sport.
