This is the first I've heard of this absolutely tragic story.

As a father of two boys myself I can't even begin to contemplate how I would have coped with something like this.

Tragic that this young lad felt this was the only avenue open to him.

The old saying about walking a mile in someones shoes is just so true when it comes to mental health. We're all far too quick to judge others without thinking about what is going on in their life.

Always make yourself available to those around you to lend an ear and encourage folk to talk

I don't know how anyone gets through this.

I wondered what the circumstances were.

Would've been terrible for others waiting for the train and passengers.

I always find trains coming towards you very scary, powerful machines and yet we stand only feet away from these.

Perhaps a gate/fence line should be installed 2 metres from tracks.
