The latest Scottish Government figures have Aberdeen City as the 4th lowest council area on mainland Scotland in terms of infection rates. Aberdeen City is also the lowest council area in the whole of Scotland that has a football league team, across all four divisions. This is good news for the coming revision to the lockdown tiers. FYI Aberdeen City recorded 27.3 cases per 100,000 for the 7 day period to 28th Feb. To put this in perspective, the tier threshold that they talked about previously for tier 3 was 300 per 100,000 I think. Therefore on this basis, Aberdeen City would be in tier 1 or 2. It is likely that the Scottish Government will revise these thresholds to make them more strict but still promising. Perhaps Pittodrie could be one of the first to be allowed fans back again very soon?
