Is there a specific reason why the edit option disappears after a short time, and that we don't seem to be able to delete our own posts anymore?

Good question. I suspect it's just how the new site is built but I could do with deleting whole swathes of my posts responding to mutants I really shouldn't be talking to.

Not sure mate, doesn't seem to be happening to me, but that might be due to the mod rights. Does it happen all the time?

You can essentially edit for about 2mins after you have posted after which the option disappears.
Don't recall seeing an option to delete at any point

Make that 10mins and it vanishes.
No option to delete once you have clicked 'submit'

I'm in the same boat as Manc here.

I wasn't aware of this issue to be honest but is certainly something we should be having a look at ?

I've made a change that should allow you to delete your own posts.

The edit time after you have posted is 10 minutes.

On the red bar with your name on it there is 3 dots on the right of it. Click on that and you will get a drop down menu with the edit button on it.

You mean your display name? Quite sure you can do this under profile - account settings. But i've never tried it myself.
