Didn't see a thread so......

Enjoyable so far, USA lost their first game then won comfortably, should make round 2

Mexico look good

Brazil humps Haiti 7-1

Uruguay are out already. Big strop from Suarez, listed as injured and not an eligible sub went slightly tonto after a full warm up, pads on etc.......

Tournament surprise so far, Venezuela have made round 2 with a game to spare

Oh, and yon boy Hector for Jamaica looks good........

Can't say it's had much coverage over here if I'm honest. Read a bit about it on the bbc, namely the Venezuela games as theyve scored their first ever copa America goal? How's it being received over in the US?

Better than usual for "saccar" but still can't sell out their own games

First semi final USA 0 - 4 Argentina, in no way a flattering scoreline, Argentina wee just so much better

US were played off the field. Any news on the injury to Lavezzi. Looked like he broke his arm when he went over the advertising boards.

Did you hear the media conference? Someone asked Jurgen how long it would be before the USA were on the same level as Argentina

He did claim before the match that it was a 50/50 game.......

They'll be on the same level as Argentina if the South Americans suddenly stop picking world class players!

The number of kids playing football now in America combined with the way Americans really get sports and know how to develop youth suggest to me that it's only a matter of time before the states starts producing world class players.

Final was pish. Both teams were more interested in kicking lumps out of each other rather than playing football. Both sides reduced to 10 men inside 40 minutes. Chile won on penalties after 0-0 draw over 120 minutes. Messi missed one of Argentina's penalties and announced his retirement from international football after the game.
