They may be opposites but they can be very near apart.
(I don't make mistakes with words so don't try to be a smart-arse or pedantic twat).
Watchdog or something this week had this piece about a car dealer and all his staff hating their customers.
Duh! Why wouldn't they? People are at their most scared and most vulnerable when they feel they have the most to lose.
But what's the default?
I used to love everyone until they proved themselves unworthy.
At some point in my 20's, I switched to thinking that they were capable of being loved but not expecting to love them.
Then, as I worked out most were shit, I didn't switch to hating them all.
Rather, as Stereo MC's said - sunning ain't right and I see through you, I see through you.
Your dirty tricks, you make me sick.
If your mind's neglected, stumble you might fall. Stumble you might fall.
Now, as a growth mindset principally and a fatalist rather than optimist, I both love and condemn.
The gaping hole called reality. Hear me out. Terrified. Sunning aint right. Here we go.
I know that most people are capable of shit but deep down, they are capable of great love.
It's a question of balance. The balance between their ears and how they choose to live their lives.
Most make bad choices, I say.
Gonna do it again. Gonna do right. Sunning ain't right. I ain't going to go blind for the light that is reflected.
In conclusion, I have the capacity to love all but the reality is, very few are worthy.
Spike Lee did it best in Jungle Fever. Hate ko'ed by Love.
