The dons U20s ran out easy winners v Celtic @ Greenock today. Shankland was once again the star man and scored a hatrick against the tormented Celtic defence. Rose & Culjak impressed in the Aberdeen defence.

The U20 will now fly out to join the full squad in Tenerife.

I think he has to be put in front of Goodwillie

Why? He's not impressed at all for the first team. Admittedly he's not had a huge amount of game time but when he has he's not impressed me one bit.

Shankland has played in 11 games but only gets on average 7 mins to impress. We want our young players to know they can break into the team and not be persuaded by their agent to try elsewhere.

I think he has to be put in front of Goodwillie

Which only gets him on the bench, which is where he usually is.

Would like to see him start a game, but not at the expense of Rooney obviously.

I'd like to see what the boy can do. Would have preferred to see him on in stead of Goodwillie yesterday.  Think Mizer makes a good point, I'd say the evidence is there that they can but you don't want to give agents an opportunity like that.  It's a completely different matter that DM makes his substitutions really late on (generally speaking).
