Scott McKenna loaned to Ayr Utd

Scott McKenna has this afternoon joined Ayr United on a short term loan deal until the end of the season.

The central defender will join up with teammate Craig Murray who is also on loan at Somerset Park.

Scott, who came in as a full time player last year, has been in great form for Paul Sheerin's side in the Development League and this will be his first spell out on loan. As well as captaining the U20s he skippered his country at U19 level.

The 18 year old will be available to play for Ian McCall's men this Saturday when they travel to play Peterhead.

Culjak has pushed him out of contention?

Could be the case that this a win/win for both McKenna & Culjak.

McKenna gets game time in lower league and Culjak gets more game time for the U20's to prove himself before his short term contract runs out at the end of the season.
