Red Stars 2013-14 - Glasgow's Dons Supporters Team

Hi folks,

Glasgow’s Aberdeen Supporters Team begins pre-season training next Tuesday at Ruchill Park. Pre-season training will go Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday for three weeks and then we’ll have three pre-season friendlies in a week before reverting to Wednesday training and matches on Sundays.  We play in the Scottish Supporters Football League and are looking for new players for all positions. If you are a Dons fan in the Central Belt area interested in coming along please contact us at clubfutbolaberdeen@gmail.com or reply to this message.

We have been drawn against Airdrie (last year’s league champions), the huns, St Mirren and Hamilton Accies in the League Cup and this is likely to be played midweek from the end of August to the middle of September, so with league fixtures starting on the 18th of August we are in for a fast start.

We want to make Red Stars the best supporters team in the Central Belt, if you want to be part of that and have the pleasure of playing in the same side as Donstalk’s very own Azteca please do get in touch.

Cheers.

You're already being spoken about as the one who got away, Tyrant.

Thanks for your honesty and good wishes.

Set this as a sticky for you BB. All the best for the new season.

Cheers SF, appreciated!

Just to echo BB, can't recommend it highly enough to anyone thinking of coming along. Top bunch of lads, competitive fitba and (without wishing to sound appallingly obsequious  ;) ) the training's great too. I only joined at the back end of last season and was made to feel very welcome indeed.

Anyone who's up for the dubious pleasure of mopping up after my mistakes, fill your boots.

Have you got anyone in the "Andy Considine role"? (tripod in the showers)

Will post the above on our FB page too

You'll go far this season....

GS - cheers mate.

oh and don't forget if you don't want to play football (or even if you do) and you want to head a long with a bunch of dandies from Glasgow to watch The Dons then don't forget about the Glasgow Reds.

We travel to every game during the season in one form or another, usually by public transport (cheapest and most beer friendly route available) but also get the occasional minibus when demand warrants it.

Cheers mate. We won't be down there at all I'm afraid, furthest west we go is Dumbarton this season. Playing Troon IFC in a pre-season friendly but that's up in Glasgow.
