CRAIG Brown today backed Aberdeen FC’s Ryan Jack to become as big a hit with Scotland as Rangers legend Barry Ferguson.

 

Former Aberdeen FC boss Brown – Scotland’s greatest ever manager and the last to lead the nation to the finals of a major competition – is delighted midfielder Jack, 21, has been called up for next month’s World Cup qualifier in Croatia.

 

Brown was the national coach who handed former Gers skipper Ferguson the first of his 45 caps, against Lithuania in 1998 and he’s convinced Jack, who will be looking to gain his first cap in Zagreb on Friday, June 7, is capable of making the same impact at full international level.

 

Would like to think he'd perform better for Scotland than that little tink ever did.
