Finally somebody bucking the trend to point out that Beckham was not a great, although the "not in the top 1,000 Premier League players" is surely a tad harsh.  I'm sure he'd make it into a top 1,000!

 

agree kow. very refreshing. he's like the britney spears of fitba. everyone wanking themselves silly just because other people tell them they should be. always found him hilariously pish at 95% of the game but annoyingly good at freekicks.

He was a good player but I do agree he was overrated. He was like Xabi Alonso but with slightly better free kicks. There are heaps of players better at free kicks too though.
