Suspect some will but most won’t. That’s where we are now.Ā

Interestingly, Lowe-life’s Restore party is polling around 7% in Makerfield. That could put a hole in the Reform boat.Ā

7% of Makerfield needs an absolute hiding. There has to be zero tolerance of these cuntsĀ

Interesting to see Blair sticking his knife into the debate in UK politics. Clearly hasn’t learned much from his Iraq war experience.Ā

Am I missing something? The article is suggesting that the material itself should be banned, but surely it's the cutting process that should be? It's not really like asbestos in that regard is it? The fine dust comes from the circular saw as far as I can tell, which isn't likely to take place in the home environment. From cutting tiles etc, the dust from snapping, or hammering up isn't the same as when cutting. Compared to something like plastic, it seems fairly benign.Ā

Well I guess the point is that it's a carcinogenic material, which is exactly what asbestos is. Whilst, yes, if snapping a tile etc the content is low, it still exists. Over here, since the ban in aussie, plenty have changed choices and refuse to specify it purely because a) we don't know if it's actually been made properly or b) there is a stigma associated to it now. Given the tories have been around for so long in the UK, i'm not surprised it's not been picked up on. There are better products that are not made with silica, so not an issue if it is banned from my perspective.

Who actually asked for his opinion, why is he even being asked for it? Absolute troglodyte.Ā

Apparently he could ā€˜no longer stay silent’ and has written a 5000 word essay on what’s going wrong with the Labour government. His analysis was actually pretty spot on but his ideas are not so. His blend of market economics and social provision seems to have shifted a little further towards a Reagonomics/Thatcher-lite approach and his foreign policy ideas of do whatever US say is frankly mental. He is still sounding like he is seeking validation or justification for his stance on Iraq, all these years later.
Ā

If you can’t be arsed reading the essay there is a decent interview with The News Agents pod but it’s pretty much a bend over and let the market and the US ride you senseless kinda deal.Ā
