Gorgeous George

Well never saw that happening, in fact never even knew Bradford had a by-election.

Bit of a kick in the balls for Labour going from a safe majority to losing by 10,000.  Galloway couldn't even garner more than 7000 votes as a Glasgow list candidate in the 2011 Election and has now gone to Bradford and won 18,000 votes! If Labour are losing by-elections like this it's not looking promising for them going forward:

George Galloway Respect 18,341 55.9 +52.8

Imran Hussain Labour 8,201 25.0 -20.3

Jackie Whiteley Conservative 2,746 8.4 -22.7

Jeanette Sunderland Liberal Democrat 1,505 4.6 -7.1

Sonja McNally UKIP 1,085 3.3 +1.3

Dawud Islam Green 481 1.5 -0.8

Neil Craig Democratic Nationalists 341 1.0 -0.1

Always amusing seeing the words "George Galloway" and "Respect" in the same sentence.

Galloway is a tit but it is nice watching him ruffle a few feathers.

It will definitely be a more interesting place with him in parliament.

Labour were condescending as fuck to the local asians, while George suluted their indefatiguability.

Bradford is full of mass immigration and Gorgeous George always targets Asian voters

Only 37% of the constituency is Asian and the rest predominantly white. He picked up 28% of the possible vote and there was 3 Asian candiates - lets be honest most of his votes came from disasatified white working class voters who feel no affinity with the Ed 'I just bought a sausage roll' Milliband.

There's a Greggs in Bradford.
