A DEAL to sell Rangers Football Club to Scots venture capitalist Craig Whyte will go though by the middle of January, according to senior sources at the club.

Whyte, 39, met with Ibrox chairman Alastair Johnston in Glasgow to discuss the purchase of Sir David Murray's shareholding in the club.

 

The proposed £33 million deal will wipe out the existing debt that has stymied Rangers in the transfer market for two years.

 

Yesterday, sources at Rangers said the deal, barring any late hitches, could be completed before Christmas but it is more likely that it will be done by the middle of January. "We can't say with 100 per cent certainty, but Whyte has the money and is very convincing. We think the deal will happen," said the source.

 

Murray has presided over Rangers for 22 years but has been keen to sell his stake for some time.

 

Hopefully the debt thing is not true as that is what is holding them back at the moment.

I would never lower myself to watch the huns but it’s no surprise to see them resort to serious violence in defeat.

Not a very convincing statement from Slavia and suspect Kudela did make a racist comment to Kamara. Kamara’s only mistake was letting someone see him battering Kudela. If UEFA delegate did see the attack then he is going to be hammered. 
 

Tribute Act being a vile bigoted organisation supported by knuckle dragging racists does not excuse Kudela making the alleged racist comment. 

I'd also say the type of tackling they seem to have been employing last night is the type that gets you at least a red card every match when there are fair officials. So 2 red cards seems about right. It looks like one of them deserves a few months in jail, Roofe's challenge looks like premeditated assault.

In Scotland, they get away with this extreme violence on opponents, without even getting booked most of the time.

I had assumed it was a copy and paste job from Victims website. 

Huns spend the whole game perpetrating extreme violence on their opponents, then complain about one word said at the end of their spree of violence, and demand sanctions.

We've had Leighton and Snelders suffer the exact same violent challenges by huns. Kicking in the face/head seems to be their hallmark.

Violent assaults seem to be in the club's DNA, from players to supporters, and even managers, with horrible threatening cunts like Walter Smith and Ally McCoist issuing veiled threats left, right and centre when in charge.

The whole ethos of the club seems to be pure hatred.

That is Roofe’s second red card for an “accidental” challenge in last couple of months. Suggests a pattern.

Should be extended ban for Roofe for violent conduct. He straightens his leg as he makes contact. 

Bilbo Baggins, or whatever the other red card lads name is, could have been a straight red for second challenge but second yellow so fair enough. 

Goldson should have had a card  probably red, for his petulant stamp and kick. 

Prague boy should have had a red if his comment was racist and should now receive a long ban too. 

Whoever gave him a shoeing in the tunnel, however deserved, should also now be charged with assault by Police Scotland and receive a red card and subsequent ban. 

As for the righteousness of the huns. UEFA should tell them to be quiet, their continuous statements may interfere with any investigation. They also need to issue a reminder to the club of their fans previous conduct in relation to race issues.

As long as Rangers are held to the same standard as they are asking for I have no complaints....

Slavia now made criminal complaint to Police in London. 
 

Kamara has released a statement via a solicitor which is a bit odd. Would have thought it would be done through the club normally.

 

Deflecting away from their own serious violence which fractured the skull of the Prague keeper.

In fact that is one of the worst challenges I've ever seen in football, for all time. Roofe should be looking at a 10 game ban for that.

They’re asking every manager to have sympathy for the hun in every pre match interview.

That's not true. I remember Tim English being very pro Logan and calling out the Tims response. Everyone believed Logan. It was much less of a news story of course.
