ABERDEEN FC are entering the Evening Express Aberdeenshire Cup for the first time in six years this season.

 

Aberdeen FC pulled out of the competition in season 2005/06 in a bid to cut down the workload on their squad.

 

But with no SPL reserve league anymore, the Pittodrie outfit have made the decision to end a six-year absence from the second oldest cup competition in Scotland.

Well I think it's a good move, as it'll surely be the under 19s which will be some good competitive games for them.

If the current "1st team" squad is anything to go by, the under 19 squad probably ranges in age from 11 to 15!
