Skysports.com understands Aberdeen are weighing up a bid to sign Hibernian striker Colin Nish in the summer.

 

Dons boss Mark McGhee is desperate to beef up his attacking options in the summer after seeing his side score just 36 goals in 38 SPL games this season.

 

He has already shown an interest in Kilmarnock forward Kevin Kyle and is also considering a move for Nish.

 

The 29-year-old, who moved to Easter Road in January 2008 from Kilmarnock, notched nine goals in 32 SPL appearances during the past campaign.

 

Nish is under contract at Hibs and would command a fee as McGhee assesses whether he is the man to spearhead Aberdeen's attack next season.

Saying that though, to play along with the pointless exercise  I'd take Nish over Kyle any day.

 

 

So the plan to play flowing, silky soccer has obviously been abandoned, if we're "chasing" forwards the likes of either of these two.

Although, 74 goals in 283 games isn't that great.

Its far from ideal but i always thought nish was pish. But then again so is kyle i don't know enough about either to differentiate between the two shades.

Never been a fan of Nish, but if it's the best we can do then I suppose we don't have much choice.

Surely a load of crap, McGhee isn't going to blow cash on a transfer fee.

He played well against us, but apparently he wasn't consistent as far as that kind of performance went. Who does Showumni come on loan from?

Nish, 9 goals in 32. 5 in his last 2, so that's 4 in 30. No thanks, we've got enough strikers like that already.

Totally agree, not exactly ecstatic about possiblity of Kyle either, but would be lesser of two evils in my opinion

Showunmi? really? I remember him at Brizzle, I couldn't believe someone as immobile as that was earning a living as a proffesional footballer.
