Ghanaian youth internationalist goes missing at Aberdeen youth tournie

An African youth footballer has disappeared while his team attended a football festival in Aberdeen. It is understood the 17-year-old told team mates he would not be returning to Ghana with them.

Emanuel Anarfi travelled to the city as a member of the Ghanaian youth team taking part in an international festival of football.

Grampian Police said he was last seen at about 1300 BST on Saturday at the event's venue, Seaton Park.

Officers are anxious to trace the youth, but said there was no real concern for his safety as his disappearance appeared to have been planned.

It is believed he may be trying to travel to London.

The teenager is described as 5ft 7ins tall, of a slim build, and was wearing either a black puffa style jacket or a grey suit jacket.

He was also wearing a green Aberdeen football top and frayed jeans.

Okay, firstly, a description of 5'7", slim build with a black puffa style jacket doesn't really narrow down the search in a country like Scotland!!

Secondly ... have Aberdeen ever had a green top?

Try looking at the Clanger's Caption Competition thread and see if you can spot a green top...  ::)
