Aberdeen F.C. Dissertation Research Project

Hey,

I am a 4th year student at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and am currently undertaking my dissertation on Aberdeen F.C. I am looking for your help in filling out my questionnaire as I need to find out the opinion of fans of the club. The aim of my dissertation is to assess how the development of media (such as the Internet) has impacted how a supporter consumes club news.

Although Aberdeen have had no direct involvement in preparing the questionnaire or the content of my research project, the project is being done in conjunction with the club so the responses I get can be used in order to help improve Aberdeen as a club. Any responses I get will be much appreciated and it should hopefully take around 10 minutes of your time. The survey will be found in the link below.

Any further questions you might have I will be more than happy to answer.

Thank you,

Scott

Quite interesting. I have been making suggestions to the club regarding some items related to your survey.

Filled one out. Interesting work. Good luck with it.

If I don't kill myself because of my own dissertation then I'll be glad to fill one out in a bit.

I did a survey for my dissertation, SSPS is the way to go for stats

Done, interesting survey.

Done. Some interesting ideas in there.

I did it too.

Hopefully my suggestion to have ED209 police games against the Old Firm is taken on board.

Done. Best of luck with it.

Did it yesterday, like others have said, some interesting ideas.

Particularly the internet streaming of matches. Something the English have been trying in International matches, I wonder if it's on the SPL's radar as far as future broadcasting avenues are concerned?

Done. Think I'll go and have a lie down now.

Thanks for filling it in, and thanks for the feedback regarding the questionnaire, bit of a schoolboy error that one.

The live Internet football I think will become more commonplace in the future. The England v Ukraine game was meant to be a great success, and with the technology in place this could happen when the next round of bidding rights goes up for sale, providing clubs are willing to gamble. Although I'm under the impression Aberdeen are quite aware when it comes to the televsion side of things (although I could be wrong I'm not actually a dons fan!!)

Haha. To be honest it probably helps that I don't support Aberdeen, sometimes it is easier to look at things from a neutral point of view, least this way I can't dismiss anyones point of view or opinion because it isn't the same as mine.

But are you a Hun?
