Editing

Is anyone else having problems with the board changing layout of text in ways you haven't told it to?

I just had to delete a post because no matter what I did it was putting chunks of text in bold that I hadn't highlighted and it wouldn't change when I modified it. After several attempts it finally removed all the spaces between paragraphs and put the whole thing in bold! I've had problems like that before here too.

I've had that problem too, the only way I got round it was to copy'n'paste it into Edit and back again :(

The text-entering area is a WYSIWYG area. Whatever you put in there comes out the other end.

I put a whole load of shite in there, and a picture of the 2009-10 Rangers squad came out the other end

Aye, copying and pasting from other websites hasn't worked for a good while now, it just comes out all messed up.

I have switched off WYSIWYG editing for a trial-period. Switching it off may cause a couple of issues with viewing the site on mobile devices, so if any mobile users I can try it off and see how the mobile-users get on.

Reekie, when I quote someone to reply the window keeps scrolling back up so you can't see what you write. It's fucking annoying.

When you hit the "quote" button, do you get a green "LOADING" bar at the very top of the screen?

I do, but then when the page loads up, it goes. Its just when the text is larger than the text box. And everytime you type it goes between the point of typing to the middle of the text. Pretty mental and hard on the eyes!
