TSR I haven't got time to read the articles cause going out for dinner in 5 mins but I remember reading an article in The Scotsman a few days after Steve Paterson was appointed in which his drink problem and alleged wife beating were brought up and thought at the time that it was a strange decision by the board if they were aware of these issues

Read a thing a couple of years ago where Paterson suggested that Shearer railroaded him into taking the job because Shearer was so desperate to be back at Pittodrie.  Nothing like taking responsibility for your own failings, is there...?
