I was having a good look through some of the highlights of the Aberdeen games from around the 1990 season and am still amazed to this day how we didn't win the league with that team. So here's a question for you all ...

You'd need to clarify which part of 84 you mean and which part of 1990... for example, Rougvie, McGhee and Strachan left in the summer of 84 and Billy stark become more of a regular in the side after that and McDougall came in for McGhee.  Charlie Nicholas left in the summer of 1990 and only van de Ven came in (I think).  Also McKimmie and McLeish played in both...

 

However, I think in general the 84 side would shade it.  Eric Black v Brian Irvine? Shootie in...

I voted 1984 on the assumption Strachan and McGhee were included.

Okay then. For one team, you get to pick anyone from the 83-84 season squad. For the other team, anyone from the 89/90 squad.

I went for 83-84. The team then was unreal. We won the Super Cup and were voted as the best team in Europe, and made it to the ECWC semi final. We also did the league and cup Double.
