A FORMER Aberdeen FC player once tipped as a football star of the future has been found dead.

The ex-Aberdeen FC player was found dead in a house in Irvine, Ayrshire.

Strathclyde Police today confirmed the death of the ex-Aberdeen FC player and said there were no suspicious circumstances.

Anybody know who?

Stevie Gray - a young player who had the potential to be a great player. Sad news.

Has he not been work for Radio Scotland of late  ???

Fucking hell, that's terrible. He had massive potential, a really, really skillful player.

Al - you maybe thinking of Steve Cowan?

You're right BB, got my wires crossed there  :-[

I meant to ask earlier, was there a minutes applause/silence for Stevie on Tuesday night?

No, there wasn't.

Maybe at the next home game?

I would certainly hope so. When I saw that there was one today I kinda knew it wouldn't be for him (given the opposition and the venue).  Says a fair bit that an ex player of ours passed away during the week but we were applauding an administrator*.

*(i'm not suggesting that either's life was worth more or less than the others, just a dig at the sensibilities of those in charge of these decisions).
