canderson72
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/n/notts_county/8027370.stm Richard (Butch) Butcher is to be released by Notts County along with other first team players. He's a goal scoring midfielder and the Nott's supporters are surprised that he's been allowed to leave. May be worth a Look??
manc_don
Can't say I know anything of any of the players, baggy is probably the man in the know with the League 1 and 2 players. Alas this is probably the level we can compete with, but Notts county didn't do too well in the league did they?
mizer
Never heard of the cheel. Richard Butcher (born 21 January 1981 in Peterborough) is a footballer for Notts County. He has previously played for Lincoln City, Oldham Athletic, Kettering Town, Rushden & Diamonds, Northampton Town and Peterborough United. He joined Notts County in July 2007 from Peterborough, signing a two-year contract. Date of birth January 22, 1981 (1981-01-22) (age 28) Place of birth Northampton, England Height 6 ft 0 in (1.83 m) Notts County - 64 games 17 goals Thought to myself thats some goal tally at Notts but checking on soccer base its only seven which sounds more right
BigAl
Probably the circles in which we're moving nowadays I'm afraid. Cannae say the prospect grabs me by the short and curlies
baggy89
Can't say I can picture him, although the name rings a bell. I must have seen him play for Lincoln I would have thought, and probably looked him up in the program to see if he was related to Terry. One season above League Two at 28 would suggest he is not the sort of player we should be looking at. Although the Lincoln side he played for were a decent team despite being a right mix match of cheapo cheapo signings. Ironically enough he probably got his chance in the football league after being signed to replace a Cheltenham bound John Finnigan.

baggy89
? Not being wide just curious as to why? He He! don't think I meant ironic. I suppose the reason I used it was because I support Cheltenham. So I suppose it's slightly intersting for me that Aberdeen (my first team) are being linked (albeit by somebody on the internet) to a player who replaced the Cheltenham captain at his last club. As an aside, I would have taken a 28 yr old Finners at Pittodire.
