mizer
Aberdeen FC’s Kerr fresh for the battle By Ross McTavish Published: 30/04/2009 MIDFIELD ACE: Aberdeen FC's Mark Kerr. More Pictures ABERDEEN FC boss Jimmy Calderwood believes the return of Mark Kerr can help Aberdeen win the midfield battle against Celtic on Saturday. Kerr has been out of action since his sending-off against Hibs on March 21. The 27-year-old was banned for the games against Motherwell and Inverness, then was ill for the 2-0 defeat at Celtic. But he is fit for Aberdeen FC’s SPL clash against the Hoops at Pittodrie. Dons boss Calderwood said: “It will be great to have Mark back. “He was playing really well before his sending off. “We have missed him, which says a lot about Mark.’’ For more on this story and coverage of the Dons, pick up a copy of today's Evening Express. At least one good bit of news for tomorrow, hopefully it will settle us a bit and get some attacks in and decent balls to whoever is up front. RDU_64
By conceding more than we score? That's not going to happen, with Langfield saving everything, the defence, solid yet unspectacular, Kerr shoring everything up and McDonald banging them in, Alukos trickery causing all sorts of problems and the new front pairing of Wright and Maguire doing the little and large double act to a tee. The Doricle
Let's hope he gets stuck in to them and we can play better than the last match.
manc_don
I see Calderwood likened Mr Kerr to Brown at Celtic. Wouldn't disagree with the standard of importance Kerr is to our team. As he says in the article, if we avoid defeat it will keep us with a hope of finishing 4th. But we really need to be going in on all cylinders for the next 5 games. No excuses, this is the time to finally step up to the plate. COME ON YOU REDS.
