Aberdeen FC manager Jimmy Calderwood today confirmed Diamond will require surgery to the ankle injury aggravated during their 2-0 defeat by Celtic in Glasgow. And it looks as if it’s going to be a triple whammy for Aberdeen FC, because it’s feared Jamie Smith and Derek Young could also sit out the rest of the campaign after suffering hamstring injuries. Harcus Posted April 20, 2009 Share Posted April 20, 2009 I think it's got to the point where even a pay as you play contract might be a waste of time - at the minute he's taking up a wage and a spot in the first team squad that could be better used elsewhere.
