An artists impression of a "reporter"

Do you fancy a career as a football reporter or commentator? Are you the next Richard Gordon or Rob MacLean?!

We have teamed up with our official radio partners, Northsound Radio (96.9fm Northsound 1 and 1035mw Northsound 2), to search for a budding junior reporter.

We are looking for a young writer to pen a match report from this weekend's match against Dundee United. If you didn't make it along to Pittodrie on Saturday then send us a match report from any game you happen to catch this weekend.

Your story should be no longer than 500 words and don't forget the line-ups, cards, substitutions and added time. But most all make sure you mention the major talking points, controversial moments, goal mouth action and more importantly all the Dons goals (hopefully)!

The winner will be selected by our special team of judges, with the winning report published on RedWeb, www.northsound1.com and www.northsound2.com

You'll then be invited down to Pittodrie on Saturday 28th February to join our match-day RedTV team (Dave Macdermid and Northsound Sports Editor, David Ridd). You will enjoy all the action from the press gantry before getting exclusive access to the post-match press conference with the manager and the players.

So if you are aged between 8 and 16 and fancy yourself as a football writer then get your report in before the deadline date: Wednesday 25th February at 4pm.

Please send all entries, complete with an eye catching headline, and your name, age and contact details to competitions@afc.co.uk or sport@northsound.co.uk or alternatively:

Junior Match Reporter, Pittodrie Stadium, Pittodrie Street, Aberdeen, AB24 5QH

Good Luck!
