CONFIRMED

Aberdeen defender Andrew Considine has agreed a four-year extension to his contract that will keep him at the Scotish Premier League club until 2012.

The 21-year-old had one year left to run on his current deal.

Considine has established himself as a regular in Jimmy Calderwood's side and has also been part of the Scotland under-21 squad.

Aberdeen on Thursday secured the services of West right-back Jared Hodgkiss on loan until January.

As I said in the triple swoop thread, I think that might be a decent piece of business. I think Andy will shape up to be a decent player when he eradicates the errors from his game. To get him tied up for 4 years means we aren't going to lose him for free if he improves significantly over the next 2 years.

Ah the Hibs technique, sign up your promising players on long term deals so we can force big clubs into paying top dollar for them.

Hibs technique??? Cough. More like 'common fucking sense technique'.

We should do this with Wright - so that when he have scored 20 goals by xmas, we don't loose him for 50k.

Probably just jinxed him now.... but you get the point..
