While footballers were busy getting married in Italy, sunning themselves in Spain or golfing around the globe, the RedMatchday team and the designers at Cre8 were chained to their desks, putting together a special souvenir programme for next Saturday's 25th anniversary testimonial match for the Gothenburg Greats between Aberdeen and Manchester United.

Produced and designer by Cre8, next Saturday's souvenir is similar to the Bayern Munich programme last season, it will be 84 pages, A4 size, with a laminated cover. Inside, it's even better, packed with all sorts of stuff to keep you reading until Inverness Caley come to town on August 9th and we have to produce another one.

There are exclusive interviews with Jimmy Calderwood, Gary McDonald, Scott Severin, Martin Buchan and Neil Simpson plus features on Sir Alex Ferguson and Denis Law. There are the usual columns from Richard Gordon, Chris Crighton, Ally Begg and Kevin Stirling.

There are a host of special features on the current and former Manchester United teams and players including George Best and Eric Cantona.

And there's also an in-depth look back at 1983 and the team of Gothenburg Greats that won the Cup Winners Cup against all the odds plus plenty more including some never before seen photographs.

The programme will be on sale from around the ground, priced at £4. To pre order your copy click here

Overseas subscribers should contact the Subscription Hotline on 0845 880 0805

Not a program collector but I may order one for a keep sake

For £4, you can't really go wrong.

The programmes at Pittodrie, as everyone seems to be aware of these days, are fucking great.
