It's not much fun thinking about AFC at the moment so does anyone here play computer games at all? It would appear we don't have a thread for this already... which seems a little unusual given the prominence of video games in our culture these days.

I have consoles but most recent is a ps4 pro. These days I'm pretty much exclusively master race and I'm just fine with that. Got back into playing football manager a few years ago (it was actually very helpful in getting used to being in the house by myself the first week after my dog died believe it or not, it was literally the only thing that could take my mind of it) which inspires this post. If it interests you you can get fm27 free to play until the third of November and the streamers that got early access have been singing it praises after a disastrous few years for sports interactive.

I like plenty of other gaming genres too. 007 first light was recently completed, thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended for example. Other than football games my favourite genre is probably point and click adventure games going back to the early Amiga days. Not really a big fps guy though there are exceptions, loved the medal of honour games back in the day.

First ever game played: Chuckie Egg circa 1985 on the acorn electron
First game that blew my mind because it was actually a computer game: Another World on the Amiga
First football game: Emlyn Hughes international soccer on the speccy I think
Favourite Game series: Monkey Island
Last game to really get under my skin that wasn't football related: Fallout New-Vegas

GTA 6 is on a lot of lips right now and understandably so. I hear it will probably be at least spring for a pc release so I won't be playing it for a while and I'm not the hugest fan anyway. Can understand the hype and excitement though.

I know everyone on the planet thinks they were the best at Super Mario Kart on the SNES but i genuinely was 😎

All 5 of my times on Mushroom Circuit 1 beat the official World Record

These days I don’t play anything at all. Snapped my flexor tendon on my left hand on account of playing Super Mario Kart. It’s never been the same since

I was also unbeatable at FIFA98 Road to the World Cup and could smash folk at Tekken without throwing punches

I was shite at most other ones
