I have looked out the WD40 and oiled the hinges ahead of the famous window slamming shut in a mere forty eight hours.

Appreciate there is still time to sign an entire first eleven but very much suspect that isn't happening.

Use this thread going forward to speculate what we are going to require at the start of 2027.

Obviously we'll have a new manager by then so he will want a whole new team to replace the current bunch of numpties.

Swiss fitba must be fucking awful. Thankfully we've not signed anybody who couldn't get a contract there.

You're right. I'm assuming they were just signed to make Ambrose feel welcome when he returns home.

I've mentioned him before but Liam Smith is on fire at QOTS this last few weeks.

Can float in and out but when he's good, he's really good.

Watched Smith several times for Queens. While he can be a much needed ray of light for them at times, I don’t think he’s got the consistency or physicality for us or the premier division in general.

He is only 22 mind you so he could become the next mcpake but right now I don’t see him being a player for us.

McPake sprung to mind for me too. We’ve missed the boat on some young Scottish players in recent years, watched the highlights and guy looks lechnical and pacey, scored from right mid and left mid, appears to play wide or central. Wouldn’t be expensive, would rather we take a punt on a player like him, I don’t see why not…

Mcpake had a very patchy start to his career I think. Wasn't till he went to saints he started to kick on and hearts got in there quickly.

Nick Suman away,on loan, to Ross County for the rest of the season.
