Hi All,

I was a coach for 15 years and a professional scout for 5 years. Last year when I was unwell with a kidney stone my Dad thought I should write a book and look to pass on my knowledge. How football has changed since I started watching it, what is involved with being a professional scout and describing elements of the modern game. 

I predicted Robinson would be the next Aberdeen Manager in my book.

Thanks very much. Swithering on a 2nd book. My Dad feels I should write a quiz book as he doesn't think men in particular read as much nowadays. I would rather write prose.

My Dad's feeling is that more women read than men nowadays. To be fair I think he is writing his 15th book now and most of the buyers have been female. I myself don't read as much as I used to. That is more down to circumstances though. Used to get the train into work and I would read on the train. I now drive into work.

More importantly, write what you want to write, not what somebody wants to read.

Really like this. Made me laugh but write what you want to write is a great point!
