It's a totally legitimate use of the new thread function. Although I'm not sure about this whole World cup section of the board, it's not pleasing on the eye.

I see Spain have announced their squad, and it has no Real Madrid players for the first time ever in a World Cup.

Bit surprised that Huijsen didn’t make it as he looked decent in games I saw this year but rest of the Madrid team have pretty poor this seadon and been suggestions of dressing room issues so maybe not a surprise that no players from there been taken.
