Bukta Bertie Posted yesterday at 07:10 Report Posted yesterday at 07:10 Who is going to be stappin their faces with pancakes today? I'll be having syrup and bacon on mine because tomorrow is lent and meat will be off the menu. Ordinarily I'd be having them with Nutella. A wonderful food stuff I only discovered late in life. 1 Quote
CurlsLikeTattie Posted yesterday at 07:31 Report Posted yesterday at 07:31 Sugar and lemon for me. Although bacon and syrup sounds affa fine.....but I feel more suited to fluffy yank pancakes. But that's just me. Actually, maybe I'll go three courses of pancakes. Starter with smoked salmon and crème fraiche. A few chives sprinkled on top. Main with cheese and ham - maybe Emmenthal and something Parma ham like Dessert with lemon and sugar (or maybe flambé bananas and melted dark chocolate) That's dinner sorted 1 1 Quote

Bukta Bertie Posted 23 hours ago Author Report Posted 23 hours ago Oh aye. Funnily enough I sprayed that exact make of cream on the grandkids pancake at the weekend. Dog got some as well. They were both very happy. 1 Quote

Can’t say I have ever tried Nutella - just one of those things I felt wasn’t right- stupid really as I used to always enjoy a cadburys whole nut bar before Kraft turned it into yank chocolate may go for sausage bacon and egg stack with maple syrup - can’t decide on the thin crepe style from the packet or making buttermilk ones 1 Quote
Bukta Bertie Posted 13 hours ago Author Report Posted 13 hours ago It's fine stuff. I have now also had it in a banana toastie. Crowd pleaser. Quote

Yeah, I quite fancy trying that. Just plain white bread? I think it would be cracking. At work one day, a colleague took some croissants, stuffed them full of those M&S mini chocolate roll bite things and stuck them in the microwave for about 45 seconds each. Fuck me, they were fine. The boss buys the bread but yes it's white slice but thicker than normal. It's got toastie or toaster written on the packaging. Quote
