Dons vs Hearts

Big game this weekend, and a big test for the team. There were signs of positivity in the second half against Motherwell, but hard to know how much was them easing off rather than us stepping up. I'd like to hope more the latter but we'll never know. Will be interesting to see if Tobers makes an appearance, given he's just signed and hasn't played meaningful minutes since early December and has just arrived. Will we see Polvara return into CB again?

It might be the right sort of team to gee the team up and get them to turn their form around. One with a bit of bite and supporters behind the team.

I would think Tobers is in with a good chance of starting. We have a bit of an injury crisis in defence and with Ruby also suspended we probably have little choice.

please. 2-1 us, Shinnie, Okkels.

So long as none of our currently fit strikers are playing, we should win this 🤣

Tobers has to start. I would not be starting Polvara at centre back. Think too many people are reading too much into 45 minutes against a Motherwell team that were happy not to attack. Even then they did miss a couple of sitters. Hearts will be coming at us full of confidence so think Polvara will get found out pretty quickly. As bad as he has been I would go with McDonald on Sunday but play him on the right of the defence rather than the left. I would also stick with Nisbet as the striker as he was doing okay in first half on Sunday and probably unlucky to be subbed. Replacement buses for the train due to engineering works make it a shite journey on Sunday.

Nice to see Okkels on Sunday, but not sure how match fit he is. 7 games at PNE this season,of which some subs.Super sub cameo hopefully

Prediction - chilly,..and a 2 - 2 draw. Nisbet,Duk

I'm cautiously optimistic about this one after the addition of Tobers.  The ABZ podcast did a wee dive into his stats etc with a Latvian football podcaster and despite the fact Grasshoppers are second bottom Tobers numbers put him as one of the best defenders in the league.  Hopefully he will bring some much needed stability and composure in the back line on Sunday.

2-0 dons, Nisbet double

The only problem that I've got with Tobers is that he sounds like a nickname crafted by the type of fan that insist on terms like "Todders", where his full name is actually Toblerone or something.

Even Kristers sounds like a wacky nickname - made up by cunts - for someone called Christian or Christopher.

So what we’re really saying is that we signed Christian toblerone?

Welcome Christian, looking forward to us enjoying your next peak.

Hopefully it’s one of the pre brexit ones, when the peaks are a bit more frequent 😉

results not going our way today, we really need to get our shit together quick sharp or we will start tumbling out of the top 6.

No idea how that is lining up. Think I may be in pub by half time.

Deal all but agreed for McKenzie elsewhere 🤔

Jimmy just said that McKenzie has a slight issue that requires to be addressed

Apparently being shite, isn't the issue he is referring to

Was wondering if the slight issue he mentioned is that Jack doesn't want to sign a new contract.

I know I'm never his biggest fan but is shinnie ever going to open his body to receive the ball?  First touch is always backwards to let him turn around.

Plays like a full back funnily enough

Decent game. We clearly lack a presence at 9.

Should be ahead, but pretty poor fare so far.Tempo seems to have dropped. Clarkson and Nisbet off,Morris and Duk on to pick it up a bit

We’re looking dangerous going forward, mainly through keskinen, so I wouldn’t be changing any of the front four at this stage.

I’d yank nisbet for Morris and put topi up top, mobile and aggressive, he needs a goal and he’s much more dangerous than nisbet. Morris will give a good attacking option plus make penrice think twice about pushing so far forward.

Thought Clarkson had been our only composed midfielder. Whilst shinnie continually hooks it blind over his head into the channel hoping a red shirt gets there first.

Okkels disappointing so far but we aren't building it well. Back to my earlier shinnie comment. By the time he turns the ball to the wide areas is cut off. We're then firing it back to a CB or full back and launching it 40yds for a 50/50

Anyone else think we might see the new lad, Okkels in the second half 😉
