I hear there's going to be a new version of Do They Know It's Christmas later this month for the 40 year anniversary.

Not sure anybody who I'd like to see take part will actually be asked to do so. 

How about I start by giving you an artist/group/band I'd love to see on the new version but won't and you guys and gals carry on with your own suggestions of those unlikely to be included:

 

I go for my girl Sarah Blasko. 

 

Her new album 'I Just Need To Conquer This Mountain' released on November 1st has some absolute crackers on it like "Dream Weaver" and "Bothering Me" to name just two.

 

I want the "well tonight thank God it's them instead of yoooooou" bit to go to Max Cavalera of Sepultura fame.

Think you are missing the idea behind Band Aid 40.

The great Trevor Horn is taking the original Band Aid, Band Aid 20 & Band Aid 30 to create the ultimate mega mix Band Aid "Do They Know It's Xmas".

As far as I am aware having read about it, the intention is not to bring in new artists 

I assume to be appropriate it will be ‘Do they/them know it’s the holidays?’
